5 Beautiful, Love Filled Stars!!!
Quinn had spent all her life being rejected and insulted, Quinn was more than use to it; she longed to be loved; however, understandably she struggled to trust. John ‘Driftwood’ will stop at nothing to gain her trust and protect her at all costs; only neither of them could be prepared for the danger that lurked ahead.I always enjoy a romance story, I especially love a Susan Stoker romance story. Susan never ceases to amaze me with her talent for bringing to life a beautiful story, full of love, heartache, suspense, and action. She has once again given me two characters I absolutely love. Each had moments where I wanted to bang their heads together, however, deep down I’m a sucker for a couple who are meant to be, and they undoubtable won me over, heart and soul.At first, I was unsure how the storyline was going to develop, Susan as always keeping the reader on their toes, however, for the first time I did manage to work out some of the plotline that lay ahead. With this said, I wasn’t fully prepared for everything that was revealed. Regardless of this, it did not, in anyway take away from the brilliance of this story, or my enjoyment. It’s another well developed, well written, mind opening, and thought provoking, romance. I love how Susan Stoker has a unique element to each of her stories.Romance, suspense, action, great storyline, Shelter for Quinn has it all. Although part of the Badge of Honour series, Shelter for Quinn, can be read as a standalone. Personally, to thoroughly enjoy this story, reading the series in order is recommended, and trust me, you will not be disappointed.

Really enjoyed!
Really enjoyed this book kept me turning the pages!Quinn has a port stain birth mark and has spent her life being stared mad gawked at. John also known as Driftwood has spent an age wanting to be with her. They start out tentatively in a relationship as Quinn has a lot of insecurities but John is more than happy to help bring up her confidence. When religious fliers and cults appear round the town it’s fairly odd but when the real reason for this comes out it’s even more shocking. It’s a storyline I would never have actually guessed. I thought I had the story and culprits figured out but I was totally wrong. I like it when that happens. Definitly wasn’t a predictable storyline.I loved Quinn and johns banter - a lot of it actually had me laughing and smiling at it.I loved the group of friends and made me wish I had a group of my own like that.I’ve not read all the books in the series but have read quite a few and was nice to hear some familiar names. If you’ve any sense make sure you read this

Brilliant. Refreshing. Gripping!
Another 5 star page turner from Susan Stoker! I love how Stoker draws our attention to physical flaws in each book and makes the reader think about showing kindness and acceptance on a deeper level. I also loved the sweet romance between Driftwood and Quinn and the suspense always hovering in the background of the story. I cannot get enough of this series and I'm a little sad that we only have 2 more books left to look forward to. I am eagerly awaiting Taco and Koren's book!

Emotional
My favourite book of this series by far (and I’ve most certainly enjoyed them all!) I just love how this couple have so many real encounters and challenges and battle both with themselves and each other to find a balance.Driftwood is adorable and I love how he knew Quinn was for him and fought for her to give him a chance.Quinn is so strong, and despite her facial birthmark making her a target for both bullying and discriminatory behaviour, this hasn’t changed her into a bitter person, in fact the opposite.I loved how despite their relationship starting quite early in the story, SS then took the time to build on this and demonstrate relationship challenges, fall outs and forgiveness. More times than not relationships aren’t portrayed in a real manner by authors, so to write “bad days” is a great thing to read strangely enough

The shy nervous girlfriend, and the opinionated crazy girlfriend.
Quinn is known to Sophies friend's as they work together in the lab. Working to find the best ways to help burn victims. But although Quinn has been out with Sophie, to get togethers with the firemen and their wives and girlfriends. She can't believe her friend that John wants to get to know her more as a girlfriend. Even though she has a large birth mark on her face and down her neck. But finally takes the risk and agrees to go out with him, and in no time at all, she has practically moved in with himBut then John's friend Taco meets a girl and he invites them over for a meal. This is another cliff hanger story that keeps you reading because you wonder if it will turn out ok.I highly recommend this book if you've read any of Susan Stoker's books before you will know why! And even if you haven't this might get you hooked like me.

Quinn
Shelter for Quinn was well worth the wait. This was yet another awesome book by the amazing Susan Stoker. The attraction between Quinn & John(Driftwood) was fascinating & wonderful to read , it was also great to hear from all of the Badge of Honour family. Cannot wait for the next book. If you haven’t read Susan Stoker do so now you don’t know what you are missing

Lots of action and some upsetting themes...
Quinn has struggled her whole life because of her port wine birthmark on her face. Her mother gave her up for adoption, foster families never kept her around for long, men were rude and vulgar. However, she made a life for herself and has a small group of work friends. Driftwood (John) met her at a group gathering and was fascinated by her beautiful eyes and soul, for ages she refused to believe he was genuinely interested. In this story he finally gets a chance to prove he’s there for the long haul. The story introduces how society is so interested in outward appearance and how easy it is to misunderstand the bible.

A wonderful story about love and self acceptance
Quinn Dixon is an amazing woman who few people ever really see. All they see is the port wine birthmark on her check and neck. They never take time to see the real person. Oh sure they call her names like witch and freak or they steer clear of her saying she has the "mark of the devil". Her life hasn't been easy but she has learned to ignore most of the taunts and ignorant people who she comes in contact with.Driftwood as he is know to he fellow firefighters, his real name is John Trettle met Quinn through Chief a fellow firefighter. From the first meeting he as only seen the real beauty in Quinn. He stands up for her when he hears others put her down. He is kind, caring, compassionate, and protective. Everything a woman could want but Quinn has been avoiding him. He has to work hard to let her know that she can trust him, that he sees her for who she is.This is a great addition to a series of alpha males and woman with flaws. In Quinn's case her birthmark has been the bane of her existence and she hides from the world preferring to be by herself. She faces ridicule on a daily basis but lately is gotten worse. There is an unknown enemy that is a threat to her and Driftwood will do everything he can to keep her safe with the help of his law enforcement friends. There are some twists and turns in here and some misconceptions about a certain character who is not what he appears.Quinn is strong and brave just like the women who have come before her in this series. She finds her own strength and finally see herself the way Driftwood does. Ms. Stroker writes these stories in such a way that the reader is drawn in and I find myself caring about these characters as if they are real people. She sheds light on port wine birthmarks in this story and I admire that she draws attention to the fact that society places a huge emphasis on what it thinks a beautiful woman should look like. A woman is more that her flaws, they just makes these characters stronger. Driftwood isn't perfect either but they are perfect for each other in so many ways. This is a sweet story of loving someone and learning to love yourself, port wine birthmark and all. I absolutely loved it and had to finish it all in one day.

What do you believe and what would your reaction be?
I think this one in my opinion was the best so far. The fact that you educate your readers about difficult health issues , and that the average person wouldn't even think about or how they would react when around or involved in this situation. And then add into the mix the way so call extremist Christian cult, was outstanding. Enjoyed it and have already read it twice. Hope the last one regarding Penelope will blow your readers out of the water.

Love goes beyond apperances...
Another very emotional book by Susan Stoker. Quinn has built a shell around a heart to protect herself from the comments and looks regarding her birthmark and Driftwood had to fight hard in order to gain her trust. A growing love, danger lurking around Quinn makes this book hard to put aside until you reach the HEA. And always a lot of pleasure to read from characters of the previous books of the serie. A story by Susan Stoker is always a sure choice.

Beauty is more than just looks.
I know, I know it's fiction but seriously Susan Stoker has such a way of writing confronting and compelling romances. What type of Mother gives up her child at birth because of a birthmark wow... I know Quinn is better off without her I shudder to think what her life would have been like living with a mother who thought she was marked by the devil just wow.Everyone face is just that their face and no matter what you look like people just shouldn't judge on looks alone, it's funny how people can deem someone absolutely beautiful just by looking at them but when you get to really know them they can be the ugliest people on the inside.Like every story Susan Stoker writes there is always a beautiful message, Quinn and John discovered love is never just skin deep, true soul seeps right into your core and spreads unconditionally through you.
