Range Rover: the Second Generatio (Crowood AutoClassic)

Actually the other review isn't quite correct. This book is NOT about the "Classic" but IS about the P38. If you're interested in the Classic, "1st generation" Range Rover the author does a book on that. This book is in fact all about the P38 or the "2nd generation" Range Rover. I do agree though that's it's definitely not a maintenance manual except for very basic stuff, most of which is in the owner's handbook pretty much.However, if you are one of the strange people that are crazy enough to own a P38 and a dedicated P38 nerd, as I am, you will like this book a lot. It gives loads of information on the history, specifications, VINs, special editions etc. If you're a P38 owner or a general Land Rover/Range Rover fan, you will love it.

The Range Rover2nd Generation .. is well written & most information .. and as such forms the "bible" as it were for all P38A Range Rover people who are interested in this product & love the design.However, Mr Taylor (Author) has missed the Rhino Model P38A which was the 2nd most expensive car to purchase.The order is as follows:-CARiN VOGUE 50 (1998 50th anversary car celebrating 50 yrs of making Land Rover product) followed by the Rhino Model P38A which came with a toy Rhino & a monogram on the lower tail gate) with the most expensive being the Linley P38A which was an all black inside & outside model.One of the Linely cars was originally stolen from a dealer but over the years it was eventually recovered .. according the LRO magazine 2014.

Great book if you love these cars, Very detailed I learned a lot. Not a workshop manual but a very interesting read.
