So helpful in so many tasks!
I just love this timer! I use it for so many things: cooking, productivity, motivation to clean the house. I also bought it three other times as gifts for my brother for productivity, for my nieces for studying and using the pomodoro method and even for my therapist so I (or other patients) would stay within our session time limit. It's a great gift that I also love using. I have ADHD and sometimes just setting up this count down timer helps me get motivated in starting a task! Plus it has a slick design, prefect size, a stylish hexagon shape and multiple colors to choose from and a cool blue light lits up when setting the timer. It's very easy to use, you just have to add batteries and turn it sideways to set up the required count down time. It doesn't use up too much battery, and is very functional. It shows the actual time when the timer isn't being used.

Simple, visual way to manage time blocks
This clock has been a great tool for structuring my workday. The rotating design makes it easy to set time without thinking, and the preset intervals are ideal for focused work blocks. I use it to know when to switch tasks and to handle interruptions by giving them a clear, limited amount of time instead of letting them derail my focus. It’s straightforward, intuitive, and does exactly what it’s meant to do. If you want a visual, no-friction way to manage time and transitions between tasks, this works very well.

I love the timer.
I love this little clock! I love that with just rotating it to its side its a timer up to an hour. the sound is nice whether you need it louder or not, it works great! The battery seems to last foever! havent changed out the batteries since have gotten it over a year ago. the size is nice an small but the numbers on the clock are nice and visable. Easy to set up. Timer feture is great because i can just turn it on and then the kids know when the time is up on their activity or home work.

Great timer - LCD dim when inverted and not at eye level.
This clock/timer is lightweight, easy to use, and allows you to turn off the audible alarm for the timer (great for when you take a phone call and the timer goes off). The 5, 15, 30, 45, and 60 increments work well for my tasks. I wish they could have squeezed in a 10 minute time instead of the 45 minute time increment, but I make it work. My only complaint is that the liquid crystal display (LCD) is clear to read when the clock/timer for all positions *except* when it is upside down on the 30 minute timer. At that point, the LCD appears blurry/foggy. It's *mostly* visible and legible, but it appears dim. You can remedy this by putting the clock/time directly at eye level, but that requires a shelf at eye level behind my workstation. I use a standing desk, so I leave the clock/timer on my desk surface so it can travel up and down with me as a stand/sit.

My favorite plastic-countdown-smashy-study-thingy
Didn’t know I needed a little plastic object to yell at me while I work/study, but let me tell you this is a lifesaver. If you’re looking for a pomodoro timer that doesn’t live on your phone (hello, distractions) then the options are slim to pick through. I’ve purchased either four or five different ones, but this one is the best by far. it is really easy to use and set up – I like that it has multiple timing options depending on what you need. Once a countdown and beeps angrily for 30 seconds to a minute, it starts counting back up, so if for some reason you left the room and came back, you could see how much time has elapsed since the timer went off. Its also very satisfying to slam the snooze or reset button when the alarm goes off. It does run on batteries, and because of this I have found that if I slam it a bit too violently, or if I throw it in a backpack/purse and it gets jostled around, the clock on the front will reset. to me this isn’t a huge issue as I mainly use it as a timer, so I just live with the fact that the actual time on the front is wrong, but the timer always counts down correctly. The front screen is not super bright, but even with my janky eyesight I don’t have an issue seeing the display properly. It’s just not lit up in your face. It does have a funny little rattlesnake noise to it, but apparently this is on purpose and it’s why you can change the timer by flipping it- this little weight inside is the mechanism it uses to reset It is a little bit bigger than expected, I thought it would be about the size of a clenched fist when I purchased it. When it came in the mail, it’s actually about the size of a small coffee mug, or about twice the size of an iPhone, just in a hexagonal configuration. My main thing is that when I’m working or studying, I either get way too distracted, or I get so deep into my work/projects that I go waaaaayyy over time. This has been a lifesaver when it comes to my studying habits. I started off with 15 minutes of intense focus, and overtime was able to graduate to the 30 minute, 45 minute, and then 60 Mark – and now I am working on doing multiple 60 minutes in a row with a bathroom break to prepare for some long 6 to 8 hour examinations. It really is priceless in this regard for me, because I am trying to build up test taking/study stamina. I have tried other more aesthetically pleasing timers, but they don’t work as well, or Are frustrating to set up, don’t have the time-change flexibility, or don’t have the alarm function, and the ones on my phone get me distracted with notifications every time. So overall, I wish it were smaller, I wish the screen were a little bit brighter (I don’t really use it as an alarm clock) and I do wish that it didn’t make a rattle snake noise when you carry it in your backpack, but overall it is my favorite plastic-countdown-smashy-study-thingy, and I’m ready to purchase a second one for my little brother.

Absolutely perfect!
It is always a pleasure to write positive reviews. This clock/alarm/timer deserves one. It is just perfect for me. I use Cube timer at home and it is good for pomodoro technique and my kitchen, but this hexagon timer turned out to be a way above my expectations. What especially I love: 1. Digits on the clock are large and easy to see. 2. You have pause buttons for timers! Two of them! 3. It is also a clock - that is so nice!.. Well, and an alarm, if you need it. 4. Perfect intervals for my pomodoros (30 minutes in my case with 5 and 15 minutes breaks). 5. Wow design. Just love it! Large numbers, large digits, black color with an orange Zero. 6. 2 Levels of alarm/timer sound. Ohh! Finally, it does not scare me when I am concentrated and then suddenly BEEP. Not with this one. The only couple of things I wish it would have (but don't) are (1) a choice for a melody for the alarm/timer that starts quetly and increases in volume gradually. (2) I also found that digital digits on the clock are less sharp when it is in a timer mode. But regardless of that, I have no words! People who designed it and created it made it with passion. Thank you so much! It came in a very nice box you expect for $100+ gadgets, on time, and well packed. Ahh. No batteries in the box. You need 2 AAA on your own. PS. They remind don't rush if you cannot figure out immediately how to set up something. It is sometimes requires you to read their manual. I could not figure out how to reduce the sound just by pushing buttons here and there. Well, it is well described in the manual. So no complains, really. PPS. Perfect gadget!!!! Correction: I purchased 2 more clocks for different locations I work at. New clock doesn't have the problem I indicated in my review. Now, all numbers are bright and nice even in timer mode. I guess they are improving each next version of the timer. Great job!!!

Handy Timer
I did not realize how much I needed one of these in my life. Even my husband thinks it is handy. I am time blind these days. So I use the timer all day long. I carry it with me from room to room to keep myself accountable and on task. Using this consistently is helping me get external feedback as to how much time has passed. My time blindness is a characteristic I'd like to change or at least substantially improve in the long run. So what is working for this timer is that it is big but not so huge that it is cumbersome to hand carry from one space to another. It is easily portable, but substantial enough that you might not want to carry it around in a purse or backpack due to it's hexagon shape and awkward size for packing. If you do travel with this timer, make sure you turn off the sounds or you'll be hearing beeps all day. I use the 45 minute preset for napping when I get fatigued, it takes about 20 minutes for my mind to stop racing...so things even out to just over 20 minutes of actual sleep. Also the 15 minute preset is what I use to monitor how much time is left for nebulizer treatments. It is really hard for me to sit still, but when I see the count down and only "x" amount of time left; it helps. Deadlines help; even artificial ones. I think this one works because it is large enough to spot in an inevitable mess. The wall of awful/ inertia threshold for tasks is lowered because you literally flip the hexagon to the preset you want and it starts counting down. It is no fuss. The design is simple clean lines; so it is handy. I wish there was a smaller and more affordable version that I could travel with. It would be useful to carry one in my backpack, purse, or pocket. This one is a little too big for that, if you are into minimalist styles. Because it is essentially analog or at least disconnected from your phone or computer, I seem to be less distracted when muddling through tasks and other administrative projects.

Absolutely genius concept with minor flaws
This clock, timer and alarm is quite ingenious. As I opened the box, I was surprised to find it was a bit bigger than I expected, but that's neither bad not good, just an observation. I had seen some reviews complaining of a complicated setup and unclear instructions but I had no issues. It was simple enough to figure out how to set the time, alarm, and volume, even without referencing the instructions. I read the instructions after and they seemed perfectly clear to me. The only real negatives are that it feels cheap, and the light doesn't light up the clock. As you can see in my pictures, the light shines red out of the back of the timer, but does not shine through the clock at all. I'd suggest the manufacture simply update to make it glow like the image on the box. Make all the printed time indicators glow in the dark and then give the display a glowing backlight like any wristwatch, rather than a light that shines out the back. I don't expect we'll use this much in the dark, but the adding glow-in-the-dark would look cool, the way the box art does. People may also use this as an alarm clock if they wanted, in which case the glow and backlight could be helpful. The plastic feels light and cheap, and I imagine the two battery doors will eventually end up broken. I don't have much confidence in it's ability to survive a fall from the kitchen counter. But aside from those negatives, this timer is awesome with really great features. An absolutely genius concept with a few minor flaws. Highly recommended for personal use, as well as for gift giving.
