Still unable to use - So I have a $200 piece of clutter
I still haven't been able to use this. Before I purchased it I checked to make sure my car year, make, and model was supported - it is. I spent an hour trying to get it on to take on the road trip that I purchased it for. Getting it on is fairly simple - keeping it on is the issue. The teeth on the buckles meant to hold the straps in place do NOTHING. If you apply any pressure with your hand (before even putting the weight of a bike on), the rack comes tumbling off. I called customer support and asked if I was doing something wrong - do I need to clamp the straps in place in some way? They told me "No - the teeth on the buckles will hold it." I tried again with no success and ended up leaving on my trip without the bikes. While on my trip my house was broken into and my bike stolen. Fast forward to the spring and I'm ready to try again with my new bike, thinking that I must have just been doing something wrong before. But the issue is exactly the same. The issue being the the rack is unusable and I'm now past my return window so I'm stuck looking for a new brand.

Excellent system
Fits my 4Runner, Hyundai, and BMW perfectly. It is sturdy, and holds the bikes securely. The straps are identified well so it makes assembly and mounting extremely easy. I do recommend this brand. I wish I would have ordered. 3 or 4 bike rack so we can take more friends with us
