Anatomy and Physiology

Awesome. I couldn't find some of the information I needed from my other a&p book, marieb 9e, and this one had everything I needed. I like the graphics in this book & find them to be very helpful. I couldn't figure out what phagocytes were involved in the innate immunity & this book has a graphic that organized everything so I wasn't just assuming. I also like the histology graphics, there's an animated photo & an actual photo pictomicrograph for most tissues. I ordered this book after we did the cardiac chapter, but I think the graphics are far better than in the marieb book. I was struggling to try and match the mechanical & electrical cardiac events & this book shows it in a graphic, which would have been very helpful. Wish I would have ordered this book in the beginning of the semester. I first came across this book on their website (it's available for free as a pdf) & I kept printing off pages. I figured I'd rather just buy the book than have a bunch of loose pages all over the place. I looked on amazon to see if it was available in a printed edition & it was. Thanks to this book I passed my a&p 1 final with a B. 🤓 I've attached pictures of some of the graphics I found to be very useful.

With so many contributors I realize this would be a difficult work to edit, however the chapters contradict opening sections (sometimes contradicting several times) and then vast amounts of off topic/non relevant informationAre added, fleshing out some chapters to monstrously large adaptations, going over non relevant minutae that only someone in the lab would need to study. Absolutely NOT geared for a paramedic A & P section. Plus, there are many grammatical errors that are distracting.

I have been using the free online version for a course I'm taking, but I wanted a physical copy because it's easier to flips to the appendices to reference things while I'm reading the digital version. For a textbook the price is excellent. It's also a lot heftier than what I was expecting. I may round out my library with some of their other textbooks to supplement my other courses.

So far I LOVE this book.Purchasing was optional, because it is also available FOR FREE online through their website. I enjoy having a hard copy to take with me and if I don't have I can easily access it on my phone or laptop. I am still towards the beginning, but so far its been awesome. In addition to the text, it also includes a lot of QR codes that link to additional material and other study aids. They use current and easy to understand references. Its organized well. I feel very lucky that my school chose this as an option.

Excellent textbook. There is a free online text but I bought the printed version off Amazon, as I like to highlight and write notes. It was a 1/4 the cost of a similar textbook. We used it in my AP 1 class at the local technical college. Used in tandem with the web version, this text provides a good overview of the subject.The book is hard bound similar to a regular textbook binding. One thing to note - the book is basically the web version printed out so there are a few blank pages where the web page was blank. Besides this, an excellent book and it was hard to tell that it was just a printed version of an online text.

So, the Pearson website does offer an online version of this book that is free from what I have heard from my classmates. Definitely the more wallet-friendly option. However, I am the type of student that would prefer to use a physical textbook when studying. Also, it is more reliable than an e-book that you need internet access to get to. This book is on the cheaper side of textbooks I have been required to purchase since starting college. Very happy with my choice. Additionally, the book was delivered to me in less than 48 hours, huge bonus!

Took way too long to receive. Is completely free online that has much better diagrams. These books are black and white which makes distinguishing different things on the body (like bones!) impossible.Not to mention resale is $3 and I paid $46 🙄😖😫

Please if you are interested in A&P & don’t want to pay the high cost of books for school this has been a life saver. I used the free online version but definitely choose to get the print book ! Awesome price!! Incredible book !! I used this over my class book got me through A&P & will use again !!! Highly recommend

A well written and clear introduction to human anatomy and physiology. Useful for first year med or nursing students, paramedics or others. Also anyone who's curious about 'what goes on' inside you!

Well detailed good anatomy book... it's free as well what else would you ask for ... worth downloading far much better than some well priced books

Absolutely brilliant free kindle book. Would be worth every penny if I'd paid for it.

Really helpful for my university course and hoping it'll continue to come in handy as I carry on training over the next few years
