Great replacement spool
I had ordered this weed eater brand weed eater replacement spool for my weed eater because I was helping my grandfather cut some of his weeds in his backyard and didn't see that he had some big rocks back there that kind of heat up my weed eater spool and I had to order a replacement I wasn't too mad about it considering it was about five to seven years old to begin with. So when I came across this weed eater spool it was exactly what I was looking for so I decided to give it a try and order it. I'll pawn it arriving a few days later was really anxious to open it up and try it out since my yard was looking kind of rough and needed to be cut anyways. So once it arrived I opened it up and it looked just like the factory one I was replacing except for it was brand new so I removed my old one from my weed eater and replaced it with the new one. Also as an added bonus I liked was that the school was full of string already so I didn't have to fill it up with my own. So once the spool was installed I begin to use my weed eater to weed eat my yard and it held up really well just like I knew it would. Also another thing I liked about this weed eater spool was the price compared to some of the ones I've seen at the store for the exact same ones were almost double to Triple the price of this one which is just ridiculous. But overall I would definitely recommend this weed eater brand replacement weed eater spool to anybody out there that's looking for one it's definitely a great deal and it is nothing it part which was an added bonus and it comes with weed eater string. If you have any questions about this Weedeater brand weed eater spool feel free to ask me.Also he felt my review to be helpful please check this was helpful... Thanks!

The spool that works and keeps on working.
This is somewhat rare in the industry. However, the way it works is the best one I have found for weed eaters I have used. While it costs a little bit, it lasts and lasts and is easy to change out.

You CAN wind your own cord, but...
UPDATE:After having success with three of these after having issues with jamming when winding my own, I bought 8 more in June 2012. It's now July 2013, and I've used them all. I still think they're worth it; when you wind your own, you're going to get jams. Anyway, one thing I did notice--and which may explain the variability in reviews--is that some spools seem to have MUCH less cord than others. Most last at least one time through my lawn, a typical suburban 1/4 acre with a fence around the entire back, with a little left over for the next time. However, after using about 4 or 5 spools, just this spring I got a couple (I'd say 2 or 3 of the 8) that had just enough cord to cut small weeds from about 3 sections (24') of fence. So apparently Poulan's quality control on these spools is not great; it seems like some got a couple feet of cord and that's about it. I still think they're worth it, but it all depends on what your time is worth to you and how much you like seeing the bottom of your Weed Eater or seeing an hour-long job become a 2- or 3-hour job from rewinding cord.I did take my review down one start because of the QC issues--seriously, once in a while you'll get one of these that has almost no cord in it. But still, 8 lasted more than a year on a decent-sized yard with a fence and flower beds to trim. Once you get past the early spring growing season, you won't go through them very quickly, and you may appreciate not winding cord in 90-degree weather. My original estimate of about 4 or 5 a summer would have been accurate except for the almost-empty ones.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I used these from July of last year (2011) through the spring of this year (2012). I bought three of them, and that got me through mid and late summer and early spring on an average-sized, suburban lawn, much of which is fenced (which means trimming much of the perimeter, which backs to woods). While nothing will ever make it a pleasure to trim the lawn, these refills make it less of a chore, and I see the bottom of my Weed Eater much less frequently while trimming.I had been winding my own spools for years (on various trimmers), putting up with jams every 10 minutes at best, and 5 times in 10 minutes at the absolute worst. I finally had to make a decision on what my own time (and the lack of frustration) was worth. Could I wind my own more cheaply? Yes. Will they jam? Inevitably--and no matter what advice anyone gives, if you wind your own, they will jam at some point. Fairly often. Too often for me. Perhaps some Jedi spool winders can make it worth the time to wind their own spools, but I have experienced the pleasure of popping in a new spool, finishing the yard in 1/3 to 1/4 the usual (self-wound-spool) time, and not once flipping my Weed Eater over to get the cord to feed. I'm not going back.Today was the final straw. I had run out near the end of trimming my lawn two weeks ago and wound my own. It was good enough to finish trimming with maybe two jams--and that was good, I thought. So today I took out that same spool, loaded up my mp3 player with my favorite tunes, and set out on a beautiful, perfect June day. It jammed four times in 10 minutes. I did not get frustrated. I simply stopped and came in the house to order more pre-wound spools. I determined that I am not a Jedi spool winder. But like Yoda, I know that there is no try--only do or do not. I could do my trimming with new, pre-wound spools or (mostly) not do it while untangling jams.My only concern is environmental: I'm creating more disposable plastic with these, and I really don't like to do that. But I don't like 2 to 3 feet of grass and weeds along my fence and the sides of my house and lawn, either.I figure 3 to 5 will get you through a summer and perhaps then some on an average-sized suburban lot. If you have an acre (or two or three), your mileage may (will) vary.

WEEDEATER SPOOL FOR RTE115
I've been using these spools for my weedeater several years. They are easy to change and work great. I can always get them at Amazon.com and a little cheaper than Walmart. My local Walmart carries them but only seasonal. I often need them nearly year round. I like the fast shipping as well.

Good product
Last one lasted over a year....as long as you dont use it for your whole yard lasts a while. Also I don't use it for all my edging, I have an edger to do around the sidewalks. I use this for around the trees and next to the fence and sprinkler heads.
