I wanted to love this so bad
EDIT! : after leaving my original review below, MelodySusie did reach out to me and sent me a new drill! The new one arrived in 2 days and is working perfectly! I’m sure it was just a motor malfunction on the old one. Thank you for replacing it! I can’t wait to continue doing my nails from home. MelodySusie definitely cares about their customers and that definitely makes me a customer for life!I wanted to love this so bad! I do my own nails, once a month, gelx! I love it. I upgraded my previous nail drill to this one. From the start it was great, held an amazing charge, only had to charge it once! Easy to handle, easy to switch out drill bits, super durable. I went to do my nails today and the drill died on me! For only having used it 4 times I expected it to last longer than this! The charger was still on 3, it just went out. Won’t turn on, change speeds anything! For it being pretty pricey and the most I’ve spent on a nail drill I expected it to last way longer! Very disappointed, I won’t be buying again!

Customer Service is AMAZING!
I have been in the customer service area of work for over 10 years and when I voice myself to fix a lroduct or an order their initial response is always my “first impression” on how I believe things will go. As in will they help me or will i be left with unaswered concerns. Well!!!!! MelodySusie ya’ll just!! AAAAHHHH!!! Amaze me! I bought this specific drill back in October of last year (after mine of 5 years finally died lol) and it had only been about 3 months and the drill started giving issues.*Long story short the light on the screen wouldn’t turn off and it caused the drill to constantly be dying and not holding it’s charge*So I emailed them asking if there was some sort of instructions on how I could fix it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t something that I could do myself so they sent me a BRAND NEW DRILL!! I am so appreciative for them. I was even willig to just buy a new one (because I love their drills) but before even doing that they sent one to me right away. I received the shipped email a short while after and I am awaiting my new drill.I just want to say thank you again MelodySusie for your great customer service!I hope this helps anyone if you’re debating whether or not to buy it☺️

Good beginner drill, some issues experienced, but overall gets the job done.
This is a good starter/beginner drill. It gets the job done and a full charge lasts me a month doing my own nails, idk how this would hold up for a professional setting where you have 7-10 clients a day. I do like it, but there are a few things that are bothering me. For some reason my drills lowest rpm is 03, when I turn it on, it comes on at 03, it doesn’t go any lower than that. Also sometimes I’ll be on a certain rpm and it will just go up to the next rpm speed by itself and a few times it kept going back and fourth. Like it was on 05 and that’s what I had put it on and it kept going up to 06 rpms by itself and then back down to 05 and then back up to 06. It will do that sometimes no matter what speed I’m going which is annoying. I saw their new brushless motor, sparkle pro and the hand piece is half the size of what this one is. I’d love to test that one out compared to this one but with the weird issues I’ve been having with this one, idk if I could see myself spending $150 on a drill that might do the same weird things this one does, when I could put that $150 into a pro drill like from Kiara Sky or Young Nails and do a payment plan. Also I submitted 3 pictures of the nail set I did with the drill. They are hard gels, the color is the Light Elegance Cosmetic Pink Builder Gel with Presto Top Gel on top. I hate when ppl post pics of their nails and don’t list the color and exact products used! Irks my nerves!

My 2nd replacement lasted ONE DAY!
This nail drill is horrible! I bought two so far. The first one lasted me a few months and the second one lasted me ONE DAY! It’s such a waste of money. There’s nothing more that pisses me off than prepping and sitting down and getting ready to do my nails the nail drill won’t even work!

Melody Susie Drill
Great quality drill. It's easy to use and not very loud. Like the color selection.

The best I've used so far
I purchased this drill last year April. Used it a few times, As I am a beginner nail tech... I've had other drills, but this one was by far, the best... However, the hand held piece started to malfunction, I can only hold it at an angle for it to work, sometimes it doesn't work at all... I've recently started getting more clients now and this is when it failed me...Updated: So I contacted the brand and they reached out to me promptly and offered to send me a new hand piece... I am waiting to receive it, so as soon as I do, I will leave another update. Thank you Sherry, you're awesome!UPDATE: Sorry for the long awaited update, but I received a new hand piece drill from the 27th of February, I must say that was very quick. The drill is working absolutely great and it's doing exactly what it's supposed to do. I am really loving it!

Stopped working after 2 months
It worked great until just outside the warranty. Really only using it for personal nails and to prep press ons some. Now it basically stops and doesn’t spin if set anywhere below 12000rpm, sometimes 15-18000rpms, even on natural nails/during prep. At first it was awesome, could prep natural nails around 3000-5000 rpm and now it kind of skips and slows and speeds up again. I’ve had about 6-7 months and it’s been like this for 5 months or so. Bummer because I loved it and it was a decent investment. Not sure what I’ll replace with but wanted to be honest about my experience.
