BWResin Platform Bicycle Pedals – Universal 9/16 Road Mountain Fixie Commuter Bike Pedals

Bought these to replace a cracked pedal from a clearly inferior brand on me hybrid bicycle. Installation of these quality $11 pedals was as easy as screwing a bolt, which can be done with either a wrench or hex key. Or both. Go nuts.Since no instructions are provided beyond a plastic L or R on one corner of each pedal, note that they screw in opposite directions, making potentially one of them work against your intuition. Loosening existing pedals is as simple as turning your wrench against the pedaling direction that moves the chain on either side, and tightening works in reverse. It may be advantageous to apply a little grease to the mounting threads prior to installation if you've got some lying around. That's what I heard, anyway.I like the small amount of added tread nearest where the pedals attach to the crankshaft, but dislike the prominent "BW" logo in the center. Can't win them all, I guess. I'll update this review again if these break in a catastrophically cool way or something, otherwise assume they're workin' good since...September 2019.

I bought these to put toe clips on but they can't be installed on these pedals. Oddly enough, you can actually put on toe clips if the pedals are backwards (switching the right and the left pedal) but that won't work for riding because of the way the pedals are threaded (right pedal must be installed on right side and left on left side). The reflector even pops off easily too, as though toe clips were meant to be installed there. Seems like a design that wasn't thought all the way through. Disappointing because they seem like great pedals otherwise. Will be returning.

I put these on my mountain bike so I wouldn't scratch the trunk when traveling since my originals where metal, they did a good number on my trunk.

These are a gift.

The bearings are a complete joke.

Have one set on a hybrid bike and another set on my road bike. Have had no issues with either set. Might have to get more for my other bikes>
