Quite bitter for gingerbread...
I found this to be very strong in flavour, only needing about 3/4 of a teaspoon, or the flavour gets way to sweet and strong. It also seems to be quite bitter with a bitter scent.

Only a tiny amount needed!
Syrup has a lovely taste. I use it in my coffee. You only need a tiny amount or its too sweet. I would suggest half a teaspoon however you may need a few attempts to get the taste right for you. The bottle is a great size, I find the litre bottles of other brands to big. I loved these so much I bought both ginger and pumpkin spice

It just tastes disgusting. It's not even the case of it being "too sweet" as others have said. It just tastes bad.
