Revolve

Revolve did not blow me away the way that Tribute (John's debut album) did. It doesn't showcase his voice like the first album. However, I find myself singing the song that I most recently heard for about 20 minutes after leaving the car, so clearly some catchy pop selections on this record. Less soul and more pop I would say, but certainly his trademark voice is as soulful as ever when he got a chance to let it loose. I was absolutely blown away and obsessed with Tribute when I finally found out about it about a year after its release. Less so with Revolve, but after just a few listens it is quickly growing on me, and like tribute almost every song could be released as a single. Most artists can't boast more than 2 tracks on their album being worthy if release. This certainly didn't hurt John's status as my favorite current artist.

Another fantastic collection of music from a truly talented young man. John Newman sings with such an old soul, it's stunning when you think of how young he is. I'm looking forward to everything he does next!

Arrived on schedule and is a great sounding cd. Will buy more from this artist.

This guy just hasn't had his due. Amazing voice. The album equals his debut Tribute making his first two outings a worthy double bill of must purchase vocal music.

I'm new to John Newman his track love me again got me hooked with his unique singing style. This album carries on that theme - punchy singalong tracks with a great feel good vibe.Tracks like tiring game, lights down and come and get it are excellent - in my option it's a very strong album but it's slightly let down by a pointless first track (Revolve) that's not really a song and not really a monologue it's a bit rubbish.But for fans of Newman or people (like me) bored with the same old xfactor singers his voice and style are a refreshing change making this album a worth while purchase.

Revolve is without question my favourite album of the year, but it doesnt come as any surprise after I was blown away by his first album quite a while ago. The best thing though is how Revolve is the polar opposite theme of Tribute. While Tribute was very downbeat and a bit depressing at times (But still pretty damn good) Revolve is an upbeat fast paced story which never fails to lift my mood, it makes brilliant driving music and wakes me up and motivates me for the day of work. All I can say is buy it, you wont regret it ;)

John Newman writes his own music as well as for others, produces & sings. He's a very humble & talented artist who is sadly over looked by many. Revolve is a fabulous album with "Come and get it" as the lead single. In my opinion, his albums are a must have.

More good stuff from a great singer.

I don't buy many actual CD's simply because there's not many artists I like that much, in fact with the exception of the Arctic Monkey's and John Newman I stick to downloading individual tracks.This is a good album and I just love his voice so I'm happy.Also delivery was quick.

Personally I think he is very much underrated artist of his generation. His powerful, soulful voice and music will get me extra miles when I needed. Highly recommend!

One of the best albums I have heard. Recommended. John Newman deserves the accolades which mysteriously went to Sam Smith.

The hits are great but the affected vocal style gets annoying after a while.
