I bought the Blue and Beige. I was looking for a Sun Hat would protect me from the Sun. The first one I saw (for the same style hat) was $21.00. I looked some more and found this hat for $9.99. A.) It is reversible. B.) It comes with a pin on bow, and Chin Strap. C.) It is NOT waterproof so I would certainly use a waterproofing spray on the hat if you're planning on walking in the rain. D.) UPF50+? Who knows. I don't think that matters too much because this hat will shade your face and neck from the Sun. E.) The brim of the hat is stiffer in the front than the back. It's made that way so it can protect your neck better than being stiff all the way around.I'm happy with my hats. In my opinion, they are well made.

I own a lot of hats. Glamorous 1950s movie star sunhats. Bird watching grandma bucket hats. Hip fedoras. Standard baseball caps. I've got it all and then some. I'm very fair and have had approximately 58497 pre-melanomas removed in the last decade. Sunscreen was invented by the greasy devil, so hats it is. This hat is not as chic as the picture would indicate, but it's not bad. The flexible wire in the brim makes it packable, but it also means it does not keep its shape and the brim is a bit floppy. If you imagine the brim is a clock face, at 12 and 6 there are noticeable seams. At 3, 6, 9, 12 there are quite useless loops for the quite useless decorative string around the hat. No matter what angle you turn the hat, you get one or more of these things visible right at the front. So it's not the best design for super fashion conscious. This hat falls into the bird watching bucket category (but, hey, nothing wrong with birds!).I liked that the hat wasn't too tight and would be comfortable to wear for many hours. I ordered the navy blue version and I like the color. I tested how much light it lets in and it seems to block as good as my tested and confirmed UPF 50+ hats. That's not a special feature, though, rather just the nature of the materials used. You can create your own UPF 100 headpiece by wearing a pair of jeans on your head. I don't know that I'd wear this hat to a party, but for everyday errands and going for walks, it's a good purchase.

In front of the hat is the wide brim, the back can completely block the sun, material is cotton, very comfortable.

The bow and chin straps come bagged with the hat and have to be attached if you want them. I couldn't get the plastic hinged fastener to open to attach the straps; it's very stiff and would break off with any force, so I gave up. Fortunately, I saved short key chains from my Skechers/Bobs shoes, and these work well (and are far more sturdy) to attach the straps. The loops on the hat for the straps are small, so any kind of link that will fit it will be an improvement over what's provided. The straps are also short, so a longer link (or chain) will add to the length you'll have to work with. With the chin straps cinched, the somewhat floppy fabric looks like you're wearing a bonnet from pioneer days, but you will be shaded.I got the dusty pink which is a muted and useful color; the reverse fabric is a brown paisley pattern with tans and burgundy.

I love this hat. I realized I needed more protection when out by/in the pool or at waterparks, etc for a long time. I have a spot of melasma above my lip that gets darker if I'm in the sun too long. This hat protects the my face and doesn't make my head sweaty like I think some other hats would (which is why I didn't choose a straw-ish hat or cuter fedora). I wore this hat at a Vegas pool... Sure I didn't look as beautiful as some other people out there, but joke's on them because my face didn't get any more spots or dark marks, lol! I'm very happy with this purchase.

I ordered this hat, and it's adorable. It fits well, and I like it. My one concern is that most UPF 50 hats that I order have a label on the inside confirming that its truly UPF 50. Can I count on this to have sun protection? It's so cute that I will keep it, and perhaps wear it at times of the day when the sun is not as bright, just to be on the safe side.

It’s big for my head, does not have the mesh inside as posted in the pictures, does not have the chin strap as posted in the pictures. I look like a scarecrow in it. But, it does the job of keeping the sun off of my head, face and neck. I do not think this was worth my purchase.

The hat is mostly thick fabric with the front half of the brim somewhat stiffer than the rest. My head measures 21 1/2 inches around and it would probably fit a bit bigger head too. I haven't used it yet but wanted to leave a review since when I ordered it, it had zero reviews.
