Made it through 4 years of my daughter's college coursework and performed well
We bought the 4 year warranty in addition to the computer as I am a Mac person, but my daughter wanted a new PC as she began her freshman year at UCI. The computer worked flawlessly all 4 years and never had a hiccup. It is as nice now as it was then. She used it for everything including Photoshop - movie editing - as a Zoom device to connect to her counselors - and it always fired up and worked. No oddities with the fan - the battery worked well - the construction even impressed me - all metal body was important. Now she has graduated - she won't give it to me. I paid for it! She has a darned MSI GL75 I got her...Seriously (kinda) this computer worked for a college student for 4 years and still looks and performs as new.

Good laptop but not without problems
Using this laptop for two weeks. Well built, sleek, lighter and faster. The screen could have been brighter but that's a known fact. Now the problem - it was all fine in the first week and then noticed the battery didn't last long after a full charge. Then the laptop stopped charging - it was plugged in but not charging. Ran the battery test and it threw up - battery failure and needs calibration.I wasn't fully convinced battery has failed, so left it to full discharge, did a hard reset and then it started charging. It seems to be OK so far.

Not what I expected
I was really looking forward to using an upgraded laptop that looks nice and is 1 generation higher than my old HP Spectre x360 i7500. This laptop has been giving me problems since day 1 its ridiculous. The screen glitches/flickers whenever I’m trying to watch videos, the fan is LOUD at times, it’s very slow compared to my old laptop, it turns on when I put it to sleep (which wastes battery) etc. I would think this would be an improvement to my old laptop but I was mistaken. While it looks nice and sleek, it let me down. Every time I load a page, it takes forever to load. Every time I try to play a decent game, it would crash. I thought I bought an upgraded model of HP but I’m very disappointed. HP support tried to help me since it did come with 1 year warranty but they couldn’t find the problem. I just dropped my laptop inside my backpack on its corner recently and the usb port was bent upwards which was only a cosmetic issue. I called HP and asked them for a quote for repair. They told me it would cost over $600 but they were generous to lower it down to roughly $400. Not generous enough. After some second thoughts, I just told them that I could easily fix it just by bending it downwards. They were reluctant on reversing the charge and that they thought it was best for them to take care of it. They even tried to sell me insurance packages with anti-virus which I said “No”. They didn’t stop trying to convince me to buy their dumb overpriced packages. In the end, I told her that I would have to reconsider the repair. She chuckled and asked me why. I knew that she knew why I reconsidered since the price was high. I hung up and asked them to initiate a refund 2 days later. Poor customer support from HP. Overall, laptop was a mistake purchasing. I should of kept my old laptop since it did have potential. I guess the looks of this laptop caught my eye and didn’t realize how bad this laptop really was. Manufacturing problem? I don’t know. All I know is that this laptop is a pain to use everyday.

Beautiful design with great function and versatility
I've owned my Spectre for almost 2 years and use it daily. I am still just as pleased with it's function, design, durability and versatility as the day it arrived. I wasn't particularly interested in the tablet mode when I made the purchase but I've actually enjoyed having the option. I still use it primarily as a traditional lap top but the tablet mode is very handy for any touch screen use. I also use tablet mode when watching videos or if I'm working in close quarters like on a flight.Overall I'm very pleased with this computer. It's been 2 years since my purchase and I have zero desire to update or replace the Spectre for my daily computer use.

Sweet device but battery life not as advertised.
Other than my disappointment with the battery life, this New Spectre 13t x360 Gem-Cut 2-in-1 is just good. Fine design (mine is Poseidon Blue, 16G + 1TB SSD version), good speed, and chic! Only thing is, I over expected the battery performance based on the fantastic advertising from HP.I bought this laptop on Amazon from BEST LAPTOP. Their customer service is commendable too. On two occasions I had reason to contact them and response was prompt.

Near perfect with brighness issues
The laptop is more than perfect so I won't go into deltails telling you how amazing it is. Rather, I'll point out 3 things here that I feel new buyers should know. The brightness is really a bummer when it comes to working even by the window side let alone go out in the sun. Also, the laptop comes with Windows 10 Home not Pro as advertised. I don't have anything against Home but just saying that it is not as advertised. Some times the laptop's fan goes crazy and makes these sounds that I felt quite soothing bcz it really is like those flowing water stream white noise that you put in the background.

beautiful laptop but
i do not think i will buy another one. Screen is not bright as i expected. I am not sure if has to do with HP, but for some reason outlook 365 does not work properly...i have this laptop less then a month, but this is my first impression
