Definitely start with sweet
I recently gifted my grandmother a jar of Lakrids black licorice in two flavors, salty and sweet. While the salty version was a bit too intense for her taste, and nearly turned her stomach, but she absolutely loved the sweet variety! It quickly became a favorite, so much so that I purchased a second jar to replace the salty one. I can confidently say that Lakrids is definitely worth the price. I originally found this brand in a boutique, and I’m thrilled to now be able to conveniently order it whenever I want. I'll definitely be reordering in the future, highly recommend!

Unusual taste.
Not what I expected. If you enjoy salty licorice then this is for you.

Genuine Nordic licorice
They are gluten free. Don't leave sticky residue on your teeth when you're done, which is a plus. I like them better than the salty or spicy version, but those are good as well, if you have a taste for genuine licorice.

Do not buy if you're a lover of black licorice
The only reason I'm giving this any stars is because it's not the vendor's fault that these are disgusting and these were delivered quickly and in good condition. Just not what I was expecting for black licorice. Personally I like the texture. It's just the taste. Not used to salty licorice. I didn't think it was gonna be so overpowering.

Lakrids in many flavors. This one is our favorite.
These are unique chocolate licorice. They come in several flavors. In our opinion, this one is the best.

Full licorice flavor, not really salty
If you do not know real licorice, do not buy. This is not a black twizzler. These come in a variety, the #2 is labeled as salty. The flavor was really good but not salty enough for my taste. Price was high, but it is billed as a premium experience.

Exceptional high quality.
Best licorice I have ever had! I have purchased about 16 jars, at least. I have given them as gifts and my friends and family really like them. This is a high end or luxury candy. The quality of the packaging keeps them fresh and soft. I ate licorice for digestive issues. Now, I enjoy them like candy! If you appreciate good quality treats, these are for you. If not, get licorice from your grocery store. This review pertains to Lakrids #1 Sweet.
