Awesome!
This is so lightweight and seems well constructed. We live in the southwest and some of the ground is not easy to dig up, it's handled everything well so far. Fits easily in our red ditty bag with a roll of TP and a Ziploc.

Good product
Super lightweight. Able to dig a deep enough cat hole in moderately rocky Colorado terrain. Did get my hands a little dirty due to the short length but rinsed with water to remove the dirt.

Perfect for hiking
It is exactly what I was looking for. It's super lightweight, sturdy and the size is right. This tool is perfect for hiking or for a bug out bag. This won't replace a field shovel.

This thing is great. I got to try it out on a recent hunting trip. The ground surface was frozen and covered with snow. The dirt was laced with roots, but this little guy hacked through no problem. Sure, you can probably find something bigger or with a more comfy handle, but the weight savings on this thing is amazing. To be as sturdy as it is and weigh next to nothing is an engineering marvel. I also like that there are no sharp points to poke through my gear. Just the right amount of edge to break through dirt but not cut everything it touches in my pack.

This product is for ultralight backpacking where weight and space are critical. I used it this weekend on a backpacking trip and it worked well on pretty rocky ground. The curved edge didn't dig into my hand and it felt strong. But obviously an ultra light small product is going to have inherent limitations so don't expect to dig a huge hole super easily on dry ground in 30 seconds!Would totally recommend this product.

It works
I was pleasantly surprised. It seemed like it might be flimsy but worked quit well in the wild. Its the #2 size and like others stated the edge kinda pushes into your hand but was not an problem.It worked for form me.

Effective cathole trowel
This is an effective trowel for backpacking. It is easy to loose at night so I tied on about 6 inches of reflective guy line so I can see it with my headlamp if I loose track of it at night.
