Great design, does not show minor burn marks. I use for my short term rental which has a bit of a southern theme and it looks great. Easy to put on as well.

Read this review knowing I haven't actually ironed on this yet. I love this ironing pad! I wanted an upgrade from the piece of cloth with very thin foam that my Big Lots ironing board came with. And this is certainly that! It is thick and feels sturdy. It is so thick, in fact, that I returned the extra padding I had also purchased with this item just incase. I like the two straps with buckles that help secure the pad to the board, but I do wish they could be tightened instead of held by a fixed width of elastic. One of them does need to be unbuckled in order to close the board. But the pad is such an improvement over what I had that I just don't care about that detail much. Finally, I have found that the narrow end of the pad is a bit too wide for my board and needs further tension from underneath. I had also gotten one of those four piece ironing pad holder things that look like mitten clips or duvet holder clips and those did help some, but the narrow end is still a little bit bunchy. I'll have to see if I can find any more of those with even shorter elastic to really tighten it up. I do love that the bottom of the cover has this nice wide elastic that helps get the pad pretty flat even without the cinchers. Finally, the pad does have a chemical smell to it and the colors are certainly not as pictured. So far as that goes, I agree with other reviewers. But I love the initial quality of the pad enough to still give it five stars.

I had a super thick ironing board cover that needed replaced. The replacement was terrible, so thin that it caused scorching. I went on a search for a better one. This looked promising and while it isn't as nice as my original, it is thicker than the terrible one. The elastic is attached very nicely. The cover itself fit on the board with easy installation. I put it over top of the terrible one for extra padding. It has one buckle and could probably have used another to secure it better. I may add a velcro belt to secure it better to eliminate wrinkling. I'm a bit concerned about the durability of the cotton cover as it is not as heavy as my super thick cover. Time will tell I did get a great price on this one, so I'm satisfied.

The ironing board cover is thick and feels well-made. I always "add" covers over each other to get a soft, plump thickness, so there're about 6 covers under this one. The fit, therefore is a bit tight, which means it would fit a previously bare board perfectly.Installation was a cinch: fit the elasticized cover over the board's nose first, adjust the wrinkles out, pull it back while eyeballing centered-ness, then stretch it around the back and under the end of the board to position it. Smooth wrinkles from the middle of the cover to the outsides. When centered to taste, clip together the two elastic strips which hang from the sides to secure the cover in place. Quick, easy, and no drawstrings hanging down after installation (because they are not there to begin with!)My ironing board is stored ready-to-use in my clothes closet. I have been surprised by the calmness I feel when I open the closet door and see that cover first thing: I did not expect this perk.

This appeara to be a good ironing board cover. It is a little misleading in that the padding is incorporated right into the cover, not separate as they always have been in the past. The thickness seems to be quite good. If, however, you have an ironing board like mine you won't be able to get it on. At the wide end of my board i have a holder for the iron itself. It is built into the ironing board. Because it is there, the new pad and cover won't bit. Just went through all kinds of tugs and pushes o make it fit. It just can't go over that end. The other thing, I didn't think of this before, is that a Teflon coated cover is so much better.
