⏳ Time is on your side with Stemedu's RTC Module!
The Stemedu 5PCS DS3231 RTC Modules are precision real-time clock modules designed for Arduino and Raspberry Pi projects. Featuring an I2C interface, temperature-compensated crystal oscillator, and automatic date adjustments, these modules ensure accurate timekeeping and data integrity, even during power failures.

Does anybody really know what time it is?
The media could not be loaded. I knew that the legcy Arduinos did not come with a RTC (Real Time Clock), but I was shocked to hear that Raspberry Pis don't have one either. And while you could use NTP to get your time, what if you are in an area where you can't?Here is the DS3231 RTC. It uses a CR2032 battery. It is I2C, and although it shows up on both 0X57 and 0X68, you don't need to address it using either number. Download the RTC library by Makuna. My demo is a NodeMCU, with the DS3231 and a 16x2 LCD. The times are not synced because I didn't use NTP. But you can see that it is keeping the correct time after I pull and reconect the power. You can use the DS3231 to timestamp events/triggers. You can use it as a calendar function. I will be using it for a security device.

Great RCT modules for the Arduino
These were listed as the SN versions of the DS3132 RCT chip and there were the SN version. many other sellers list there's as SN and give you the M version ..

Easy to use, works perfectly!
This is how a sensor breakout should be done! Very nice! Plug in a battery, set the time with a special sketch, and it just keeps perfect time after that! I've been running it for a bit over a week, and every time I power up the Arduino, the clock connects perfectly and just works. It is SO nice to have my Arduino know what time it is! The library code is also quite interesting.

All “M” variants of this chip
All 5 of my chips were the “M” variant, which are not as accurate as the “N” or “SN” variants; and tend to drift a lot more. I will test these out and see how these will work for my particular project. I’m a bit disappointed as what I received feels like a bait and switch.

it tells time!
got the modules with the n chip, seems very accurateand on linux the driver also apparently creates a hwmon instance that returns the temperature, although it seems skewed

Click bait on the variety of devices
Was suggested I'd get a random assortment of timer chips. Instead got all 5 of the same kind and not the best.

A good option for RTC with Arduino
The quality is good and I’m satisfied with it’s operation. Recommended.
