I think this is a great choice for a replacement disposal, needing to replace the builder grade unit that had been in my house for 15 or 20 years before requiring replacement.This unit installed very easily, just like others I have swapped at other properties. You require some basic plumbing tools and plumber putty. I ended up replacing the drain parts below the sink because the diameter is just a little narrower than what was there before, even with the higher HP. It runs quietly and eats ice like it's just a pile of pretzels. Reputable brand, good value, very satisfied!

I have always had a 1/2 hp food disposal by decided to move up to a three-quarter horse. It was easy to install and it works perfectly. Very quiet. Highly recommend.

I was replacing a non-insinkerator 1/3 hp unit with this one, so I had to do every step as the sink flange was completely different. I ran into the following issues and offer the following advice to others:1) The insinkerator snap ring can be really hard to get on when working alone with only a weight on the sink side to hold it down. I finally got it on by using thick painters tape to hold the fiber gasket and bottom mount while I fiddled with the snap ring. I still had to get out the snap ring pliers to do it alone, but if someone was there to hold it from top, I could have been more aggressive and might have been able to do it by hand. If you get aggressive with only a weight on top, you start messing up your plumbers putty job...2) One of the steps on wiring says to put a cable clamp on (not included).. REALLY? this information should have been in the REQUIRED TOOLS listing. No one has a bag of metal cable clamps (strain relief) just laying around... I opted to use a rubber grommet instead that I happened to just have so at least the wires arent rubbing against sheet metal. Pretty sure that clamp only would have cost 10 cents to include for free... this should have been included, as should have a couple of wire nuts (which i already had)3) I fiddled for more than hour trying to get this heavy thing twisted on... in the end, I had it on there right a few times but just wasn't confident it was on there correct. This is because it feels really loose when twisted on and you then need to reach above and twist the metal flange attachment more. I recommend watching the insinkerator video as the instructions aren't super clear on this...Anyhow.. I'm happy with the end result, just not super happy with the installation process. It could be improved.

When our old disposal rusted out, we decided to replace it with the same model. It was super easy to swap it out and it works great, just like the last one did for years.

I installed it myself the build quality is good as long as you do everything correctly it wont leak. The hardest park since i didnt have the correct tool was getting the old one off but a hammer and screwdriver did the job for me. There is nothing to assemble except a few wirers to attach from a cord that surprisingly doesn't come with it. Just make sure you get the cord you need for the correct product and the putty so it has a good seal against the sink. I had to go to 3 different hardware stores because all they had was the EZ connectors which is not the one i needed. I needed the standard connector and not and not the EZ connector. I could of probably gotten the 1/2 HP or maybe even the 1/3 hp one. its not too loud but when I turn it on there is no question its working, when it turns on it definitely KICKs on.

Works great and was very easy to install, which is super important. Love this garbage disposal. Best part is that the connection flange is the same as the old less powerful model and so I didn’t have to take off the half of the flange that connects to the sink. This company does keep its customers in mind when designing their products, thank you!!
