Bruce Springsteen With The Sessions Band Live in Dublin features 23 songs drawn from the band's performances in Dublin Ireland at The Point on November 17 18 and 19 2006. Songs include fan favorites from The Seeger Sessions radical interpretations from the Springsteen songbook and rare songs appearing for the first time on any Springsteen release. The DVD captures the band during the finale of its multi-leg 2006 tour.

Love, Love, Love, Love this Blu-ray!
Since purchasing this Blu-ray, I have watched this concert all the way through about 10 times! That's how great this show is! Everyone of the musicians is highlighted in some equal, democratic way, as much is possible. What I wasn't quite ready for was the enthusiastic crowd who sings along even before the band starts singing. It really must've been a fun and awesome show to attend and if I could go back in time, I would've attended all three nights in Dublin! I only skip one song and that is "This Little Light of Mine". It's not a horrible song but it does kind of cross that line of just a little too much religion, but that's just such a small personal criticism. And the Springsteen songs (as opposed to the Traditional songs or the Seeger songs) are probably my favorite versions - "Atlantic City", "Further Up The Road", "Highway Patrolman", "Growin' Up" and especially "Blinded by the Light" are so different that they barely resemble the original versions. One of my favorite songs is "My Oklahoma Home". A funny moment is when Springsteen gets in back of the banjo player as he starts his solo and nudges him out front to shine in the spotlight so the crowd can see him better than when he's usually plucking away just in front of the drummer. To me, it demonstrates how much fun he's having with The Sessions Band.If you have been a Springsteen fan at some point in your life, please, please, please do not hesitate to buy this Blu-ray and crank it up! It's unlike any concert you've seen him perform and his performances with the E. Street Band are some of my favorites! Enjoy!

This concert is absolutely timeless! Spellbinding!
WOW! What a concert! Wish I’d been in Dublin to witness it in person. Bruce Springsteen holds nothing back. In fact, he and the Sessions band leave it all on the floor. I was spellbound, from beginning to end. My only wish was for more outtakes...Shenandoah would have been great! Most importantly, Bruce has made a great contribution to American culture by showing how traditional folk music can be revised into renditions that meet our contemporary musical tastes. I hope others will take his lead. This music, some of which I remember from my youth, listening to Pete Seeger, never dies. It’s timeless because it gives voice to our American experience as a people. I’m glad Pete was alive when Bruce performed this music. Thank you Bruce and the Sessions Band! What a joy this DVD is to watch and to own.

Rocking away
This blu-ray concert is quite a surprise. It's not your typical "Born in the USA" album, it's actually more like songs from the American past, including folk songs and Christian anthems. It's also the American experience, with their hopes and aspirations. And it's a celebration of what America was, is, and will be.At the end, there are three songs which are really amazing. They are "When The Saints Go Marching In," "This Little Light Of Mine," and "American Land". Many people are familiar with these popular songs. And if you don't know them now, you will love them later when you groove with the concert.

Another Electlic Performance
This Is Incrideble on Blu Ray. The concert Itself Is so good and the run down of songs much different than his uaual. Yet everyone plays In such harmony, this Is one more fine recorded performance of the Boss doing his thing, and has become a perfectionist In his music. These are all great songs given they not his usual hits live. But that's the reason It such a good performance. This one If you like Bruce at all and have a Blu Ray get In Blu Ray It's an unbelievable sharp picture with no guards In the way.I think your going to love this If your looking at It.Honestly

Great show!
One of the best, if not the best, sounding Bruce live recording. The blu-ray sounds incredible!I greatly prefer these songs live over the studio record.

Best Springsteen DVD available
This is not the standard Bruce fare. The band is the Irish based Sessions Band, not the E-Street gang. The concert was an outgrowth of the Woody Guthrie tribute that Springsteen recorded around 2005-2006, but all of the selections on this DVD are full of energy, talent and fun. The crowd is really into it and the show is up to it. Very talented musicians and Bruce spotlights them all. His stage presence may be a bit over the top at times but it doesn't matter as the music is so darn good.Video quality is reasonable in blue-ray but the 5.1 sound is excellent. May be a few years old now but the music on this DVD is timeless.

A great performance
This Blu-Ray DVD is a joy and view and to listent to. Unlike some performance DVD's Bruce and Dublin Session band are fun to watch. Everyone is having a great time and performance is rock solid. Now this is NOT the E Street Band. They perform a few songs from the E Street Band catalog but the majority is from the Seeger sessions and other solo material. So if you expecting an E Street Band type of performance your going to in for a surprise. I enjoy seeing Bruce stretch out and he's obviously having a great time. I rarely buy DVD's but I'm glad that I own this one. I'll be viewing it many times

Like being there.. (almost)
Being a long time fan of the Boss, I had to get this BluRay for my collection. The songlist leaves a little to wish for, but it's definitely acceptable. The technical quality of the disk is amazing, it absolutely blew me away with awesome audio and great video - a must have for any Boss fan.Of course it's not like being at the real deal (only been to 4 of his concerts, although none in the US), but it provides a nice dose of a near-concert feeling.Highly recommended.

GLORY GLORY
Though I wouldn't consider myself a Bruce Springsteen fan, I had owned the albums Tunnel of Love, Human Touch, and Lucky Town. And it wasn't until a friend brought round this DVD for us to watch after many Springsteen-free years had passed that my interest was relit. This concert held me from start to finish! The type of songs, the band and singers, and last but not least Springsteen's delivery of these songs was total perfection. It was like finding a musical soul mate after many long lost years. I loved every single track, and every song was the best song until the next. So good in fact that I later bought both the DVD and the Blu-ray!Even if you're not a Bruce Springsteen fan but enjoy folk, gospel, and country music, you will love this concert. You will hear traditional music at its absolute best and performed live with unequalled passion by musicians and singers put together by Bruce just for this show, in addition to the E Street band. The interaction between him and the people on stage is an additional bonus to the inspiring music.I may still not be a Springsteen fan in the truest sense, but I have the highest of respects for him and his unparalleled commitment to the art. I can also proclaim that this is one of the best musical moments ever.Truly unmissable!

Irish Springsteen.
I was recommended this DVD by my brother in law. After reading the reviews ( which were excellent ) i wentahead and bought this Blu ray dvd. I have other DVDs of the brilliant Mr. Springsteen and I am delightedI have this concert in my collection . Took me by surprise I must admit , this very much a personal choiceof songs from Bruce and mostly acoustic too , not any of his hits and popular songs but I loved it just the same. The price I paid was excellent and delivery was quick too. I will buy from this supplier again in the future. Many thanks , JimiG.

Some of best live music ever recorded!
This has to be without a doubt one of the best live concerts of any kind available on DVD or Blu-Ray. I own this on Blu-Ray and even those in my own extended family who never 'really got Bruce' and think his just a 'screamer' were converted by this and recognised we are dealing with a very special musical craftsman. The music is just brilliant and to see musicians at the top of their game performing with such passion all orchrestrated and pulled together by Bruce is just a joy to watch. It inevitably comes out around Christmas time especially for the last few year's in my house as my father-in-law just loves it and in truth, it is such a festive and enjoyable foot stomping experience, it really is heart warming. You have to see it, to believe it, - but once you do you'll want to watch it again and again! Enjoy it! As once again the truly great Bruce Springsteen reminds us all how great it really is to be alive! Bruuuuuuuce....
