Good feature set, limited WAN speed
This multi-function device does a lot and offers a healthy feature set for a location that has several disparate needs. The VoIP/SIP function is great, allowing easy cross-over between digital and analog access. WiFi functionality looked solid, although I didn't use it as such since I had separate AC-class access points instead. The VPN solution seems to work well, and the various all of the basics needed for regular routing with multiple VLANs and outbound management are present. In addition, the ability to hook in a USB modem (two of them!) for either out-of-band access or ultimate failover to a cell provider for connectivity is a nice touch. Dual-WAN uplinks aren't really a "niche" IMO, but there aren't too many products for consumers and SOHO that provide this crucial function, so if you're looking for it this is a fine product.....In fact, it does pretty much everything I wanted. With one giant exception. Speed. Even with all FW, special routing, and other features disabled, I was consistently limited to about 225 Mbps down, 200Mbps up to my uplinks. Unfortunately (well, fortunately for me) I have faster speeds than that from both of up my upstream providers, which made this unacceptable at my install. It's still a nice product (if complex to administer for the un-initiated), but if you have faster uplinks than that you should probably look elsewhere. I'm docking two stars primarily because that limitation is not very well publicized, and it really should be in this day of on-net providers and high-speed business access. For the record, I replaced this unit with a CISCO SYSTEMS Gigabit Dual WAN VPN 16 Port Router (RV325K9NA) to handle uplinks, with other duties spread out among different devices. The same speed tests with that in place provided the expected ~700Mbps up/down.As others have mentioned, the interface is complex, reflecting the complexity of the problems the product can solve for you. Networking experience is strongly recommended.

Requires IT class first
Requires a full understanding of networking in order to set up this router it is not a plug and play option. And this time I can only provide two stars because I do not work in the IT field therefore not able to utilize this router.
