Retrospec Bicycles Cane Woven Rectangular Toto Basket

If you're looking for a large brown stained woven basket for your bicycle, then this is pretty much the only option you need. It's made very well, has good quality materials and accents, and has lasted for several years now. Absolutely no complaints, and it's large size is great when you have kids and constantly have to carry more things with you than you would normally want to. :)

I was worried that this wouldn’t fit because it says the length is 14” and my basket that it would sit in is 11” by 11.5”. It fit in perfectly. There is even room on one side to put more larger items outside this basket as you can see in the last photo. I used the straps to attach one side and I put 2 black zip ties in the front attached to the upper bar and 2 black straps in the rear also attached to the upper bar. The bottom sits flat on the bottom of the other basket so that this basket will not have to bear any of the weight of anything you put in it which should make it last longer. This is one of my better purchases for my ebike.

We love the look, the straps, the color. It had a few blemishes, took a while to receive it; maybe because of COVID? Would I buy again, yes. It holds lighter items, towel, bluetooth, etc. Not sturdy enough for a six pack of drinks and the bike lock. When you go over bumps, I'm afraid it will break. I recommend this to make your bike cool, carry light items, and easy to attach. I suggest a steel or more durable weave with another material if you are in need to carry heavy items, or your dog.

Great basket! I've had this since this past fall, and I keep it outside with the rain and wind. I also sometimes carry my 11.8lb dog in it. Even with this rough treatment, the basket is still fully usable! It's starting to break apart in a couple of places, so I'll be getting a replacement. Overall, with proper treatment, this basket should last you a long time!

I have been wanting this basket for a while and finally took the plunge. I love the color and texture but like reviews on here warn, it's not very sturdy! I carry small items that dont weigh much to include my 8lb poodle but im cautious not to overburden it. Particality may not be its main feature but asthetically, it is right! *shrug* I'm looking to see if I can re-enforce it with some wire so that I can carry heavier loads...

I literally just purchased this basket to carry my little Maltipoo -- he's 3.9lb -- around with me. I LOVE the color, and the size of this basket. My dog fits PERFECTLY and he absolutely loves riding around in it. He has more than enough room. I have a Schwinn Urban Traveler, and wouldnt want this basket to be any larger and/or smaller. I really think it's the perfect size. As for the reviews/comments about it not being sturdy, I can see why they feel this way if they don't have the underneath support. My bike has a front rack/bar built-in, so having this for the basket to 'sit' on while being strapped into the handle-bars at the top, makes for an extremely enjoyable riding experience. I also love the straps have multiple holes, giving you a variety of lengths to choose from. The ONLY suggestion I have, is for this exact basket to be made but with a WATER BOTTLE HOLDER. I would buy it in an instant. Overall, for now, I think this is a great basket, and highly recommend it!

Very Disappointing purchase. Purchased on March 30 , put on my bike for first time 1 week ago. I put a small towel in it and nothing else. The basket broke while riding the bike the first time I used it. I cannot return it,I cannot use it and I spent almost $30 on it. What a waste of time and money and now I have to try to find a replacement that works. So unhappy with purchase. Saw where someone wanted to put a 20 pound dog in basket. If they value the dog's life, I would absolutely not put an animal in it and watch the animal tumble to the ground as human falls off bike. My towel probably weighed about 1 pound and it fit comfortably until defective bike basket broke and I had to hold bike basket and steer bike over bumpy, treacherous, gravel!!!! If I were happy with basket, everyone in Hilton Head Island would know where I bought and would want one just like it! Now everyone in Hilton Head will know where I bought it and they will never purchase one from where I purchased!

This basket is a adorable and I was so excited when I got it! However, it didnt even hold up for a full week at the beach. The holes for the leather straps slowly pulled away from the basket weave, and it kept falling lower and lower until it was on top of my tire and almost disconnected from the rest of the basket. Such a bummer! I had really made an effort not to load it too heavy, but if you can't put a normal amount of things in it, ehats the point?

It’s super easy to install, is made with quality materials and is very deep! I love the look of the brown wicker. It’s just the perfect addition to my cruise ebike. LOVE IT!

Bought three to put in my foyer to keep scarves and hats and things in. The leather straps made it easy to hang them from a rod and they look great.
