Looks great on your counter as a paper weight
Didn't work for us. Followed the instructions and reviews left by other people, in the pamphlet, blogs, and videos online. Could not get a decent cup of espresso. I am very comfortable with brewing, baking, and general culinary skills and did so much research and spent $$$ in different beans and a new grinder... all for bitter coffee and no crema. Even my husband (the barista) couldn't get a decent cup.

Like it
OK, I have made several espresso's and have it down to a 30 second brew time. Fine grind and tamped. I am finding that it has a alight bitter taste to it no mater what I do but with all fairness I have not used a high quality coffee yet. I think that it is a very easy way to make espresso and be able to take it any where I want. I like it and feel it is well worth the money. Cleaning is a bit harder, I run hot water through it several time to get all the coffee out of the upper part and then dry it good. I preheat by running the hot water through it first with the filter attached, then I do the shot. I am looking forward to finding the right coffee, preferring to find a good organic coffee. I give it 4 stars not a 5 only because the frothier that comes with this is totally useless. It pinches the fingers and jams up when trying to pump it and with all the starting and jamming it is just irritating to use and I still haven't got a good foam so it is in it,s little container just sitting on the counter waiting to go in the garbage.

Fantastico!
This ingenious machine makes excellent espresso, and espresso based drinks such as lattes and cappuccinos. I love the design, the copper is elegantly industrial. It arrived in quality packaging with a cool storage tin, but I am keeping it on the countertop because I use it everyday. I though it would be labour intensive, but the press is easy and enjoyable to use. I wish beyond all else that the water cup was glass, that would make this machine perfection. As it is, it is a 5 star design, I love it.

Not real copper
This unit is not copper, it just has a plating not unlike chrome plating that doesn't even approximate a copper color. Looks much darker than real copper, plus has none of the anti-bacterial properties of real copper. Save $70 and just buy the standard chrome version. Otherwise, great product.

Dialed in makes great tasting coffee I would of went 5 stars but hate the plastic, nice metal container too store it in and flawless so far as far as funtionality, Takes 3 runs for my taste for one cup, but man its worth it,,Best coffee Ive ever had,,,Also its about pratice on packing the coffee down, too lose and it makes a hole, doesnt get the use of fresh grounds, packed just right, and man o man,,,love the thing

Great buy. Perfect espresso.
I love this espresso maker! It's really fun to use, admittedly tricky at first but once trying a few times it's super easy. If you are looking at the machines that cost 600+ just save your money and get this, it makes just as good of espresso for a quarter of the cost! One word of advice, it may take a couple pumps to drain the water out of the puck of espresso, otherwise when you take it out it may be sludgy.
