This cable needs to be in your inventory today!
At some point in your IoT/nanocomputer/MCU journey, you will need FTDI USB to serial connectivity.Normally, you would use a USB to mini USB cable, connect it to the USB to serial converter, and then connect 4-6 DuPont wires to your device (2nd Picture). That's too much to carry. That's too much to connect. You also risk the FTDI converter shorting out against the rest of your equipment. Here is a better way:Place the converter inside the housing! Boom! Mind. Blown. You connect this converter to your PC. In about 3 minutes (on Windows 10), it will discover and assign a COM Port (4th Picture).Connect it to your IoT/nanocomputer/MCU, and fire up your IDE.It could not be easier! This is a cable that needs to be in your everyday carry bag, and on your bench. It works with the Arduino Pro, the Mini, and the LilyPad!

If you want to connect to the Nanopc T4 debug port, you need this.
It has the FT232 chip built-in to the cable, plus the four-pin fan-out for versatility connecting to any board's 4-pin configuration (no matter how it is pinned). This was the one I needed, after mistakes with PL2303 cables. Second time's a charm.
