Real cow hide
I have no idea why people are saying this is not real cow hide. I have ordered 2 hides and recieved 2 as gifts ( all different colours) and all are genuine cow (crazy horse leather/ pull up leather). The properties of crazy horse leather or pull up leather is that is mark's and ages. Is it slightly overpriced? yes and no. If you can get full hides this product would be expensive if you can't it's good value. Yes the hide is thick and can prove difficult to work with but most of the issues are down to novice users. I have created many lovely items with this leather and will continue to buy from this seller.

Brilliant quality
Brilliant quality leather, exact size I ordered, made both of these from a 12x12 piece I ordered today with some leather to spare. Will carve the vambraces later but carved a practice pattern into a scrap piece and it carves beautifully. There were a few marks and blemishes but that was soley the Amazon delivery drivers fault, instead of knocking on my door whilst I was in to receive the package he folded it and tried jamming it through my letterbox which was clearly too small even whilst I was telling him to stop while trying to open the door. I could tell that had he not done that the leather would have been perfect.

Different thickness to advertised
This leather was advertised at being between 1.8mm and 2mm thick, but as you can see from the image it is at least 3mm. This might not sound like much, but it is enough to be too thick for my intended use.

Ok oil tan leather
Difficult leather to work with, very dense and dry. It is oil tan so it marks easier and doesn’t look as good as veg tan when crafted. It is ok for practice but if you want to make high quality leather products I recommend finding a veg tan leather.

Feels very high quality
I’m sorry folks but I’m brand new to leather. But what I can say is that this leather feels Devine and soft and lovely. I just cut a strip using my mora companion and it cuts really clean as you can see. I don’t really know what I’m gonna do with it but maybe a handle or Willy warmer or something even more exotic 🤣😂🤣😂 lol just joking, just a handle for my knife.

Clarity of order
On 2 occasions recently, I ordered 1 item only, but 2 items were delivered with an appropriate double in cost. ie 2 mouthpieces for an aerophone and 2 pieces of leather, when only 1 item of each. I let the matter go, but would point out that your confirmation page does not make it clear. On both occasions I thought I was only ordering 1 item of each.I hope this is not your normal policy to boost sales.Dr Gerard Pell

Expensive, marks very easily
Product arrived quickly, very thick, sturdy. No idea what type of dye used, it marks with the slightest touch and cannot be removed. I wanted this hide to patch an attractive bag I have that has a hole coming underneath. To patch it I have to fold the hide, which is fine, tho the crease shows in the dye, never had this before on hide or leather of any colour or thickness. Disappointed. Photos attached.I didn't use it, bought a bag of leather scraps and used those instead, much better. No idea what I'll use the hide for, a wasted purchase.
