OFM Core Collection Posture Series Armless Mid-Back Task Chair, in Gray

I love this chair. My husband made a desk for me to use to work on my art. I needed a smaller chair with no arms that was adjustable for height, back height and tilt. This fit the requirements, and it was available in a teal color to match my decor. I suppose if I changed anything it would be to have more padding on the seat, but I am considering a memory foam cushion or perhaps just a thin cushion. It's not uncomfortable, but it's firm. My husband put the chair together with no difficulty. I recently ordered a leather office chair with arms for the desk in our library office, and I like this OFM chair better because the base seems more stable. I have tipped the leather chair over and fallen to the floor when leaning forward on one occasion and almost fallen on two other occasions. This OFM chair feels more stable in proportion to the size of the base. I think I will be very happy with this chair.Additional Note 2/3/17 - My 12 year old grandson was using the chair. He has high functioning Asperger's and gets excited when he's playing video games. I suspect he was bouncing at the time, but one of the legs snapped (the plastic broke). Of course, the chair fell over, he fell on the floor and the back of the chair bent. The chair is only six months old, but it's now useless. I'm very disappointed that such a nice looking chair turned out not to be sturdier. I've revised my rating. It's still a lovely chair and would work for gentle use. The chair seat and back are very firm. Using it for long periods of time would hurt my back, which is why I let my grandson put it in his room as a desk chair, but the chair continued to look good until it broke. As much as I love the appearance, I will not order another chair. I'll look for something more substantial.

I've purchased several OFM-brand office chairs over this past year or two, and they're generally great chairs for the price. That said, there are always a few shortcomings with every model, regardless of pricing, but the only two observations that I have about this particular model are as follows:1) The two cushions (seat and back) are extremely stiff (i.e., sciatic-nerve stiff!). They're THAT stiff! I suspect that they'll both soften-up over time, but prospective consumers should be aware of the fact, that at least initially, they are going to be quite stiff.2) The two handles shown in the product photo will not end-up being located as low as pictured in the photo. Once assembled, those two handles are much, much closer to the underside of the seat cushion. They're still readily accessible, but nowhere near as open and accessible as depicted in the photo.Otherwise, this is a perfectly great chair for the budget conscious!

I put this chair together without too much difficulty, and it is comfortable and higher than my old one, which I required. My only complaint is that I think this chair was sold to someone else who returned it before they completely put it together. At first I thought one part of the telescopic bellows was missing, but discovered that one part of the 3-part unit was still on the gas lift. Apparently someone had tried to put it together but gave up and returned it. One of the small boxes that some parts came in was torn open. The base was very dusty and there is a very very small pick in the seat material. I bought the teal and it is lovely and I think that I will like this chair, but I did expect to get a brand new one that no one else had bought and returned.

I was looking for a comfortable chair without arms for sewing. This chair was one that was recommended. The cushion seems somewhat hard at first but after sitting in it a while, it is quite comfortable. Because of this I feel the cushion will not break down as fast as some others have for me.

I purchased two of these chairs in blue color a couple of years ago. I had no problem in assembling them and with daily use, they are still like new. I use one of these at a computer desk. Before this one I used a vinyl covered one with arm rests, and it peeled badly and the arm rests took up too much space. I threw it out and decided on this one, and it was the perfect choice. Cloth is much more comfortable and durable I find compared to vinyl. I'm well pleased with them. As long as you don't have a kid or someone jumping up and down on them or something, they should hold up well with normal use.

This chair is perfect for my home office! I used to have lots of these same chairs in the 1990's. The teal color matches many of my possessions, the comfort is excelllent, but the sleeve they put on the bar holding up the back is not as sturdy as they used to be. The picture shows my freshly-painted wall, which is a good match.Somebody asked if the back can be reclined. I am attaching a photo to show that it goes really far back.

I was long overdue for replacement of my old office chair. This chair is very firm, yet extremely comfortable. I have always preferred a high seat height and took note that this one was a few inches higher than others I looked at. Assembly took only a few minutes. Although unnecessary for me the directions were easy to understand. All in all a very good buy with excellent for and finish

I needed a smaller, armless desk chair that had both height and tilt adjustment. This one fit the bill. I bought the teal and it is pretty color. The seat is stiffer than I like but acceptable. I had a hard time finding a tilt and height adjustable chair that was armless.
