HUGE FLAMES!
wasn't sure what the "gold" as all about. i use this brand of log all the time to start my fires ... which provides a wonderful base for burning logs later on in the same day. these logs have huge flames and covers the entire log. beautiful!

Price Gauging!!!!!!
The price is the biggest problem....first time I ordered this product from the vendor the price was $33.45, the second time I purchased I used the buy it again button on my phone with out looking at the price....it was delivered and the price was $63.78. Now I looked at the same product today and it is selling for $47.93. What a joke. They draw you in with a low price then jack up the price when you reorder. not again! I will buy locally for this kind of price change........this sucks.......the produce does work but not as described. Lights easy but doesn't burn the amount of time that Duraflame states. Maybe 2 hours out of the log. Not worth the upcharge. The regular Duraflame logs work great, will not buy again.

Nothing like a Fireplace
I ordered these because getting small loads of firewood is expensive. These are easy to light, burn relatively clean, and last a little over 3 hours. I don't use the fireplace for heat, just ambiance. Not exactly a roaring fire, but it works for my needs.

Don't See the Need
For what we paid for these Duraflame logs it doesn't see worth it. They didn't last any longer, or perform any different that the regular Duraflame logs that we usually buy.

Stick to the original logs
Yes these logs do burn brighter but... They only last about 2hrs ( tiny logs and brighter flames = short burn times ) and frankly for 7 dollars more for a case of these over the original duraflame log, not worth it.

Burned great, but had a smell
These logs did look ok and did burn great as advertised, but I would say the smoke from my chimney is black and there is an odor if the smoke does not go up the chimney (all fireplace leak a bit) then you get an odor. So they burn well, but i prefer good old wood when possible.

Cannot Tolerate the Odor from These Logs
I have used Duraflame logs for years. They are convenient and offer great ambiance. This year I bought two boxes of these Duraflame Gold logs, and the smell is atrocious. It got into our hair and clothing. I am shocked and disappointed after buying two boxes (6 in each box). I do not recommend these.
