Hawk Performance has applied their severe-duty brake pad friction technology to the braking demands of trucks and SUVs. Heavier vehicles with larger brake systems are more likely to experience higher temperatures, requiring a brake pad that has excellent heat dissipation characteristics. The new LTS (Light Truck and SUV) Brake Pad Compound utilizes Hawk Performance’s established and proven Ferro-Carbon formulation to provide superior stopping power for full-sized light trucks, SUVs and vans without noise and dust.

Best brake pads for a large truck
Great brake pads. They produce minimal dust and have consistent friction over temperature. I temporarily installed Wagner SD pads on the drivers side front of my 3/4 ton truck and Hawk on the passenger side. After driving for a few thousand miles I noticed that the Wagner pads produced MUCH more dust than the Hawk. Additionally the truck pulled to the passenger side when the pads were cold but when they heated up the Wagner side pads had more friction and tended to get much warmer. This seemed to confirm that the Hawk pads are made of superior material. I replaced the Wagner given that brakes are really important for trucks that haul loads (in my case a camper).

They are an excellent pad with great wear
This is the second set of pads I have used on my 2001 Dodge 3500 4x4 pickup. They are an excellent pad with great wear, low dust and very little fade. I pull 15000 lbs often up and down Rocky Mountain highways, so I put them to the test.
