Nice looking holdbacks however polished brass finish is not uniform on gold leafs, very poor cheap looking finish,would have paid twice the price if plating were better,also brackets need to be opened up by bending metal very carefully to have access to screw mounting holes then carefully rebent after installation one more thing the pairs are identical so one leaf goes up and one goes down should have been two different shapes to look balanced

hahah! Seriously, it's sturdy, yet bendable enough that we were able to make it wide enough for our heavy drapes. Oddly though, they are two of the exact same thing so the leaves bend the same way. I'd think they were supposed to be mirror so it curves up on both sides. Because they are the same, one cureves up, and then other side curves down. See images for an idea of what I'm talking about. Otherwise, it gets the job done.

As other reviews have mentioned, the hook area for the curtain to go into is very slim. I have heavy weight linen black out curtains that I’m afraid these won’t work for. I’ll try bending them out wider and see if that makes these useable for my purpose. However, I would advise not buying these unless you have very small, lightweight curtains like sheers or something similar. Also, as others have complained about, these are going to be a pain to install if I can make them work because the screw holes are behind the leaf.

The way the holdbacks have been designed means that it is impossible to use a screwdriver or drill bit to fix the holdback to the wall because the fixing holes are immediately behind a solid part of the leaf. I managed it eventually by hammering nails into the appropriate places in the wall and then hanging the holdback onto them but it wasn't a solid or good solution - luckily I'm only using them to hold back voile curtains. Also, each holdback is identical - therefore one curtain is held back with a leaf pointing up and the other side has a leaf pointing down - probably unnoticeable unless you know.

These are pretty, even though I received 2 left side, and not a left & right pair. Unfortunately, they were sent in a bag not a box and both are flattened, and it is a very delicate process to unbend without breaking, as well as lining the product up in order to install. I would return them, but not worth the hassle to go thru the process.

These look nice, however they look a bit strange since they are identical, not a mirrored pair.

Items were super flimsy. .cheaply made.takes forever as from china.avoid.
