Nice value for a quality rectangular pot!
I like these Novelty flower boxes. They are some sort of plastic, but have a nice faux design on them, and you have to inspect them to be able to tell. I have a couple in different sizes. There is a built-in water reservoir that you can use, or you can pull it out and remove a plug for complete drainage. The low shapes look great with succulents. I marked down one star, as this one was originally received broken. Not just a little, but an actual huge corner broken off. Understand that that can happen, but the big piece broken off was not even in the sealed box! So, it was packed that way. I have noticed other reviewers mentioning broken items, so would just consider that if you order, you may need to send it back for replacement. It's an easy process, and won't deter me from possibly ordering again, but if that is a deal breaker for you, beware. Kind of odd, because they actually seem very sturdy. If you mix and match the size and color selections, you can sometimes get good deals.

Poor drainage
It works as a planter, but the drain hole doesnt really work. My first plant rotted in there despite my best efforts. I even tried shaking the thing to get the water to drain.

Great planters
I have lots of these artstone planters in various shapes, sizes and colors. They're lightweight and I love that they don't leak like pots with saucers may.I've planted and replanted them many times. It's hard to overwater due to the reservoir at the bottom and make a green thumb of even the most inexperienced plant minder.Highly recommend.

Good size and depth, and great looking planter
I now have four (4) of these planters around my house and am planning to get a couple more here soon (need to catch-up with all my cuttings). I bought my first Novelty (strange name but nothing 'novelty product' about these) at a store after many weeks of looking for a solid, simple, stone-looking planter. These things are tough thick resin and quite heavy, but much lighter than if they were real stone or concrete. They look great from afar and as long as you're not examining it from 5 inches away they can pass for a stone-like material or at least GFRC.In addition to their good looks, they have a great insert in the bottom so that it can function as a self-irrigating planter to some extent. While you cannot fill just the reservoir nor see how much water is in it, it does help to prevent water from pooling at the roots (as long as you are not over-over watering). Any slight overwatering drains into the reservoir where a plug of soil allows it to slowly wick back into the pot. There is a drain plug at that bottom too in case your plant is drowning.Another feature I like about this particular planter, the 36148, is that it has high side walls as compared to other window sill flower boxes. I have gotten a few others online and they were too shallow to plant much more than herbs, this one will accept quite a substantial plant and leave room for good soil and growth. I am looking forward to getting my plantings into it.

Drowned my herbs
This pot is attractive compared to other plastic window boxes on the market, and fairly sturdy. However, this pot doesn't drain through the bottom into a tray; instead, the bottom couple inches of the pot are walled off as a water reserve. The pot has to be drained frequently. It's large and heavy when filled with plants and soil (and water), so draining it is a pain in the neck. If you don't drain, eventually the reserve overflows and oversaturates the soil, and your plants die. The silicone screw that plugs the drain hole is easy to lose and not attached to the planter, and this company doesn't appear to make a matching tray, so you can't just leave the planter unplugged to drain every time you water. This might work well for tropical plants that require frequent and high-volume watering. This pot did not work well for my herb garden.

This is a very sharp looking planter. I currently ...
This is a very sharp looking planter. I currently have snake plant planted in it, and as it's a succulent, the water storage at the bottom allows me to go longer between watering, but still drains most of the excess water. The only thing to be careful about is to make sure you don't plant below the water line. two of my cuttings developed root rot because I accidentally planted them too deep (below the water line). Now that I have that problem fixed, my plants are doing well. The product is a bit heavy, so if you plan to move your plants from inside to outside daily, it might not be the product for you. However it is still movable, so moving it inside in the fall and out in the spring isn't much of a hassle.

Broken
Would like to give this 5 stars because it’s priced well and is attractive. My first arrived broken so I returned it. Waited on another one only to receive it broken as well. Starting to think it’s not made well so I returned it for a refund.

Good windowsill planter
Exactly fit a windowsill.Planted 3 miniature roses out of a 4" pot, depth and size is adequate for now.Repainted the exterior, the pattern of 'black' on the surface is swirled. Paint has shown no sign of peeling (good base material)

Missing parts and a crack.
The product itself is as expected ( I have previously ordered a different size before ) However, this time it is missing the tray for the reservoir. Returning it is a hassle. There's also a crack on the side. Also, compared to the last ones I ordered (Co 35138), this one is on the thin side, and a lot lighter.I have returned for a replacement and to date, no replacement yet.The replacement was also broken for which I have asked for another replacement and that as well is broken.First pic is the the replacement, 2nd pic is the replacement to the replacement.
