Waste Away Paint Hardener, 12 pack

Does a good job of hardening paint. If the paint has clear-ish liquid floating on top, stir it up first. The clear liquid will not harden. Specs say it will treat "up to" two-thirds of a gallon of paint. I found that after treating that volume the paint was still a bit soft. Plan to treat just a little less than two-thirds with one packet. The paint sticks are handy if you don't have extras, you'll need to toss your paint stir stick when you're done.

I have a house built in 1947. When I bought it (2005) there were paint cans in the basement and in the garage. More have built up over the years. I finally decided to take care of this. I ordered this product, and bought some of those 5 gallon buckets one can get at home centers (with lids). Filled the buckets slightly more than half full, put three packs each of this product in the already mixed paint, mixed it in, and closed the lids. All paint hardened, and as that was what was required by my trash hauler for acceptable removal, all of the paint is gone. It works. I like things that work.

I’ve never used paint hardener before. I always thought they were too pricey for what they purport to do. However, I was looking at my horse of paint cans and decided enough was enough.I just did two cans of paint (technically one was a water based primed) following the simple instructions. In two hours they were solidified. Not the trash they go tomorrow.I’ve changed my tune. I’m recommending these highly.

Works as stated. 3/4 can of paint hardened quickly. Able to dispose in trash the very next day.Great Product!

Product does what it say , turned all my old paint solid
