Absolute C48RD 48-Inch x 50 Yard Carpet for Speaker Sub Box, RV Truck Car/Trunk Laner Liner Roll (Red)

I was very leary of purchasing this as it had no real reviews. This is relatively thin, but very strong automotive/speaker box carpet. It is not in any way speckled with gray or white fibers as the picture would lead you to believe. It is jet black and nothing but jet black. That being said, it is non-backed, somewhat stretchable and worked perfectly for covering the drum isolation booth I am constructing. I am using DAP Weldwood contact cement to adhere this to the surfaces of the drum booth after hearing some negative feedback about the 3M lineup of spray adhesives. On the first piece, I managed to use an entire quart of cement on the piece of carpet prior to sticking it to the cemented panel of the booth. That was crazy so I began only applying the contact cement to the booth only with a chip brush. That was the ticket. Brush the contact cement on the booth and keep rubbing the carpet with your hand until it grabs. No cement leaches through the carpet and the finished result looks absolutely fantastic. I am so happy with this carpet, I have been telling everyone what an excellent value it is to get a 4' x 150' roll for about double what a 25' piece costs. It is fantastic stuff and has held up remarkably well during the installation process. It is thin enough to allow me to mold it around the most detailed pieces of the booth, but not so thin that it is torn easily or transparent. It is perfect for what I am using it for. That being said, if I were using this in an area that was going to be touched or rubbed frequently, I don't think it would hold up because the nap starts to fray (get fuzzy) with a lot of rubbing.

We manufacture made-to-measure cases and use the carpet to cover the interior of some of our cases. The material is excellent, works perfectly, is durable and manageable.

You may want to update your pictures. This was the blue that appeared as a dark blue. The client that ordered it was off put by its color in the light. Personally, I love it! It just need to be showcased properly!

I ordered the tan/cream and on the picture it's all bright and what I expect. But after I receive it, it looked more like dirty grey...if that is a color. But it's not what I was expecting in terms of color. The material itself is what I expect but the color is way off.

The grey speaker box carpet is a charcoal grey like you would find on the “prefab” speaker boxes. It is backless and works perfect for speaker boxes.

Lined the inside of a small closet I made for holding gear. Very easy to work with and held in place great with a thin layer of Weldwood contact cement adhesive. Looks and feels amazing. Great price especially for the amount you receive.

Worked great for our project. Fairly thin, able to stretch and mould to the curves we needed it to mould to.

this carpet worked perfectly for what I needed. I would buy again
