StarTech 6ft Digital Flat Panel Monitor Cable DVI

I brought my spouse a 23 inch widescreen All-In-One HP computer for Valentines Day and then I started to suffer monitor size envy with my dinky 19 inch Dell VGA monitor. So I brought myself a new LG 23 inch wide screen monitor to use with my older Dell computer. And to get the best picture on my brand new LG monitor I wanted a DVI cable. This one works like a charm. Very good picture. I can highly recommend this company. And the cable is very inexpensive to boot. Works great and inexpensive. Can't ask for more than that.

I've been having problems connecting my laptop to my monitor - a long and sordid tale I won't go into here. After spending hundreds on adapters and HDMI, VGA, DVI cables, I finally found one which is heavy duty and quality. One of the issues with the connection was the quality of the DVI cable. Another cheapie one I bought online quit, so I decided to get this one (with low expectations). So far, the cable has held up well. Shipping was prompt and packaging came OK. Would recommend.

Not much to say, the cable works. The length is perfect for me and it seems the construction of the cables is solid. I don't move my computer or my monitor often so it should out last pretty much both the computer and the monitor. If my monitor accepted a HDMI cable, I most likely would have bought that but DVI is digital also and good enough for me for the time being.

It's very long, it works. I plugged it into my computer and into my new LCD monitor, and it worked without any problem. I have a little extra cord now, but that might be good if I ever choose to move my screen away from my CPU. Oh, and if you were wondering, Male to Male is what you need to connect a computer to a monitor. You only need a Male to Female, to extend the length, if you already have a Male to Male DVI plug. Pros: -Just as described -Has all of the pins needed (some other cables have fewer pins) -Worked out of the box -Simple packaging (plastic bag) Cons: -No manual (but I don't think one is really needed) -Six feet might be a little too long

Didn't work at first, but I just had to update my own graphics driver (not sure why, but it recommended doing that in the booklet, and that worked). Using dvi and image quality is much better than expected. The software that runs the monitor doesn't interfere or bog me down, have not noticed any lag, but I do use DisplayFusion to have better / more control over the multi-monitor setup. I'm impressed! I don't leave many 5 star reviews, but I have no complaints.

Honestly, If you are looking for 18+1 Dvi (if maybe thats the only connection you have for your dvi input/output or for one of your dvi connectors) this is the cable for you... I was stupid and I had 24+1 connection the whole 1 year+ I have been using this cable... but as far as single link (18+1) dvis go, this is a winner, provides probably the greatest image you can get with a single link, never got any problems with it (no flickering, pixelation etc...) bottom line if your monitor and connection type can do it this dvi will bring it.

I bought two of these cables since I have two Mac Minis, which have only a DVI port (not a VGA port) and my LCD has both VGA and DVI ports. I wanted to avoid having to use the crappy DVI-VGA adapter supplied by Apple. Upon connecting these DVI-DVI cables, I had issues with the monitor recognizing that the Mini was connected and powered on. I finally was able to get the monitor working, but each time I rebooted, the monitor had issues recognizing the Mini. I ended up going back to using the DVI-VGA adapter (with a VGA cable) and I no longer have the issue of the monitor not recognizing the Mini. This occurred on both Mac Minis (with identical monitors). I don't know if the issue is with the monitor DVI port or the cables (or perhaps even issues with the Mac Mini). I'm not impressed with the hardware quality of the Mac Mini, so there could be issues there. The cables don't feel cheap and are 6' which gives plenty of length. I'm thinking they are not the issue, but the monitor or Mini may be at fault.

El cable esta excelente, la calidad de la imagen impecable. Lo compre de 0.9mts tengan en cuenta que este es un tamano muy corto pero yo lo necesitaba de esa manera. El conector se siente un poco de mala calidad pero funciona perfecto
