Includes everything you need (including salt), works very well.
I read a number of pros and cons about ionic foot baths before I invested in this one. Some people (including doctors) dismiss them out of hand. But I'm convinced they don't necessarily understand how these work. I decided to buy one, after doing my research, and I'm glad I did. And I'm especially glad I bought this one. I noticed that with a number of the foot baths, customers mentioned that they did not come with instructions, odd as that sounds. That is not the case with this one. In fact, there's a laminated sheet telling you everything you need to know, and a pamphlet in addition. One thing important you DO need to know about how ionic foot baths work is included: the color of the water as you use the foot bath is NOT the most important thing, and in fact some of the color comes from the array interacting with the minerals in your water, depending on how much iron, etc., is in your water. The ionizing foot bath works not primarily by removing toxins via your feet, per se; but it stimulates your body to do that for several days after you use the foot bath. What the ionic foot bath does, more specifically, is create negatively-charged electrons in the (salted) water that are absorbed into your body -- in a manner very similar to using an earthing/grounding mat (but more effectively, in my view), or by simply walking barefoot on the earth for extended periods. There's evidence from several studies and other research that this reduces free radicals and inflammation in the body -- which is why most people feel better after using the foot bath. This particular foot bath comes with two arrays (the second is a spare - the arrays are said to last for somewhere between 15-30 uses); a high-sided plastic tub; a cord that plugs into an outlet and then into a circular control panel, into which the array also plugs. The control panel is automatic: it runs for 30 minutes, the amount of time one foot-bath should last. The panel has small lights on it, which come on one at a time, successively, every five minutes -- at which times you're supposed to add an additional few pinches/ half-teaspoon of salt. The salt keeps the array properly doing what it's supposed to do. You also are given a plastic container of sea salt with a lid that both shakes and pours. So there's nothing you have to provide yourself. You get one other item as well: a large roll of big plastic bags. That's so you can slide the plastic tub into a bag and tie it off -- I use a twist tie, but the bag is long enough to tie it on itself -- before you fill it with water. (I use reasonably hot water, which the directions say is OK: choose a temperature that suits your feet, makes you feel good, remembering that it's going to take a half hour, so the water will cool down some during that time.) The roll of plastic bags and suggestion that the tub be put into a provided plastic bag is a little stroke of genius: the water gets pretty gunky with both minerals and some toxins. So when you're done, instead of having to clean the tub out, you can just throw your tubful of water into a toilet and flush it away, then take the bag off the tub and throw the bag away, and there's no additional cleaning you need to do, other than rinsing off the array with clean tap water. This particular foot bath works very well. It's automatic and needs no adjusting: just turn fill it, add some salt, plug it in, put the array in the water, put your feet in, turn it on and relax. It includes absolutely everything you need -- including the instructions that others leave out!

Lemons..
Honestly I was really excited about getting this machine last march but I had to return the first one as soon as I got it nothing worked. Then the second one same thing, due to medical issues I'm just getting around to this review. The timer shuts of withing 60 seconds after having a hum sound and then won't turn back on till you unplug everything and plugg it back in. The bag of salt that came with the second package was open in the box.. I'm now trying to look up a new system because I have enjoyed going to my chiropractors office and getting it done. I'd honestly only give a 1 star but it won't allow me to do that. Maybe Im just that unlucky to get 2 lemons back to back..

LOVE LOVE LOVE
I tried this the day I received it, then I did it again 2 days later. It worked perfectly the first time, the 2nd time I did it, it did the same thing another reviewer said, it shut off after 15-20 seconds. I figured out I didnt set it up right. I added the salt before turning it on, & I didnt add enough water. So I dumped it out, & started over, adding heated up BOTTLED water to the top of the array (tap water has chemicals in it), turned it on & let it bubble, THEN I added the salt. Worked great!! The 2nd time I did it, the water was an awful black/brown/green (looked like diarrhea...sorry). The day after this time, my stomach cramped & I had a headache. I know its helping detox my body. I dont care what drs/experts say, I believe this works! I even send post pictures to my coworkers to try to gross them out. Now they want me to bring the machine to work so they can try it! LOL This is also a great price, considering spas or chiropractic offices charge $50-$70/session. It pays for itself after the 2nd time, & a plus is youre in the comfort of your own home. I highly recommend giving this a try. It is a great holistic approach to good health.

Feel good tension reliever package
I bought this detox machine after several years trying to find a good one. I have used many as a paid client in several places from Palm Springs , Palos Verdes, San Jose, San Francisco, Shasta and Seattle. I have used several machines as a client and some seemed to work better than others. The prices for machines also vary but maybe do not always coincide. My favorite footbath I've used in Aqua Chi, however they are VERY expensive and I'm only looking to purchase for my own home use. This machine from Better Health Company is not the best but it is reasonably good and I like that all the items for use came with it. It shipped reasonably fast and if I don't use it for 3 days I start to get mild swelling in my feet. The foot bath primarily makes my feet, legs, and knee joints feel looser and more relaxed. I am very happy with it. I don't believe this machine is as strong as a Cell Spa machine I have used at a health spa in San Jose. However if I run this unit for 2xs the time it feels comparable. This machine is much more cost effective after 5 uses than going to the spa. This one does not have a belt or the wrist strap. I do think those increase effectiveness somehow, however the wrist strap can be irritating and this machine could not be any easier to use. For those who are skeptics, that is fine. I don't believe the water changing color means too much, but like using a dry sauna or skin brushing, with or without scientific studies to back the alleged benefits, IT FEEL GOOD, so I use it.

Let’s tackle that hoax question!
So I know there’s been a lot of conversation about whether or not these machines are hoaxes. I’ve read the reports and done experiments myself. While some doctors say that the brown color is rust and that the foot detox is a hoax. I can honestly say that in testing with my feet in the detox machine for 30 minutes and then testing it without my feet being in the machine, yes, in fact, the water did turn brown. But the difference in the results of my feet being in the water for 30 minutes versus being out of the water for 30 minutes was incredible.. there was no comparison. I can also tell you that after grappling with neuropathy for years, after having chemotherapy, this detox machine has made a huge difference in just a short period of time that I’ve used it.. Also, just so that you know, having neuropathy. I have tried many many things in stopping my feet from feeling numb and sore and feeling like I’m walking on marbles. But in a short period of time that I’ve used this machine, my feet are beginning to feel normal, and that has made all the difference in the world. So don’t take my advice, get the machine, try it for yourself, see what you think. Read the studies, read the reports, and then you make the decision as to whether you are going to believe the reports or you’re going to believe your own research.. Let that decision be yours, and not some study.

Lacks results
I’ve been getting ionic footbaths at my local chiropractor and also at the local herb shop. The output (color) really varies, as well as the quantity of “stuff” on the top of the water. So, I thought I’d buy this and use it more often at home. This is not the same as any of the machines used commercially. There is virtually no output whatsoever. The end result water looks like weak tea. There were no solids in the water after 30 minutes of use. I felt no different afterward. I didn’t have an increase in energy like I do after using a commercial machine. I guess I didn’t read enough reviews. A public blogger reviewed this and said it was ok, considering the price... so, I bought it. It’s not ok for the price. It’s money wasted. You cannot return it, because it’s a personal health/beauty aid. You can buy stronger arrays, though. I’d rather not spend more money on something I’m so disappointed with.

Amazing
I felt so relax after the first ionic detox. Do not pay attention to those who say is a scam cause is not. They tell you when you mix the salt in the water and start working yes the water is kind of brownish. But guess what? Tap water, even purified bottled water has minerals in it and those react to the ionic stimulus making the initial water brownish. In the instructions they will tell you that. After two or three uses you will notice the difference. This is not a forever machine. The more detox you do the thing that goes in the middle becomes rustier until it no longer works but that is expected. Also depends on where you live and how hard is the water. I think you can clean that little motor that produces the iones with vinegar. But still it is greatest life span is about 50 uses. And do not expect to detox your entire body. Detox occurs through feces, urine and sweat. Let’s say this machine will take care of about 25% of your toxins which is A LOT. YOU need to drink water during and after using it to help the detox be more efficient. It is also meant to help make your body more alkaline which boosts your immune system. It is not a miracle worker but surely it is an extraordinary help to support your health.

Used twice, now it won’t stay powered on
I received this on Tuesday and was anxious to try it out. Got it set up, say for the 30 mins and my water was dark brown! There was a slight tingle in my feet during the process, but I must say that I felt a slight difference the next day. It say to do every 3 days for the 1st 6 weeks. I should have done it Friday, but I had a lot of family in town. So I go to do another session Sunday. After I set it up, placed my feet in the tub and hit the power button to start it, it cut off after 15-20 seconds. This happened twice before I unplugged everything and plugged it in again. This time it worked. After my 2nd session, my wife was amazed and wanted to try it. So I set her up to get started. Unfortunately, she got the same results that shit it off after 10-15 seconds. We did the exact same thing I did to get it to work 5x’s to get it to work without success. The instructions at that there is a 24/7 customer service number you can call or text, so I text. Still waiting on a response. I called and it made me leave a voicemail. NOT HAPPY currently. If this changes I will update my review. The basics of the machine seems to work, it is the quality for me. I chose this one for the reviews. Hopefully, they will make it right and I can change this review.
