Second to none💯
As a person who didn’t use MTB step2 ever, I can’t say anymore about how precise and direct the infos are. I’ve been a fan of doctor Conrad for many years so the fact that I have his book is awesome. It’s so accurate and updated. One very important fact is you have to remember that this book is a test guide meaning that not all medicine you need for life is here. It’s second to none for the test and memorizing facts with reviewing them, but not all medicine is here. However it makes you the most current and the blazing star in front of your attending.UPDATE (17-2-2019) : I got both Master The Boards Step 2CK and Master The Boards Step 3. Am very honestly saying that Master The Boards Step 3 is absolutely BETTER than the new Master The Boards Step2CK. Many updates are found in MTB3 not even changed in the MTB2. The fact that MTB3 focuses more on diagnosis and management than MTB2. The only downside (with both books) is that you have to have a reference or videos ( the best is the MedQuest videos of STEP 3 !!) that emphasizes on the pathophysiology and associations of some diseases ( I find Kaplan lecture notes Internal medicine THE BEST book of them all in terms of explaining and correlating with the basic science. However some diseases and treatments are mentioned in the MTB book and not in Kaplan’s LN ) and if you are just wondering, doctor Conrad Fischer is one of the WRITERS of the new Kaplan LNs internal medicine and if you know him well you would be able to recognize that while reading. I would really recommend the MedQuest videos because they add up MUCH to what you already know and to what is in the books

It’s pretty much the same as 4th edition.
It’s pretty much 97% the same as 4th edition. A few new charts were added, the chapters were re arranged, and patient safety section is added. I would recommend buying this edition if you don’t have the 4th edition already.

Use with caution, more errata than 4th edition but still a good book
This book as some good things going for it. I love the side notes, reasoning, and ways they address the common mistakes that students can make. It is still a good book I think for plowing through multitudes of clinical decision making. I used Amboss to double check flow charts and clarify the text which can sometimes be a little odd in its order of content or doesn't nest topics in a way that make sense to me.TLDR; Ok book, 4th edition may still be betterPro: It's still a solid prep book that can distill topics down to what you need to know.Cons: - More errata than previous version. Print errata sheet and make corrections immediately. Consider using Amboss Learning Cards to clarify decision priorities and order of next steps. - Some subsections in an odd order. Can confuse flow sometimes.

Save your money
I bought this book after I gave up on step up to medicine because of the many errors in that book. Only to be disappointed by the same with this thing. There is no order to this book. Things are sort of thrown around randomly. A lot of important things are no where to be found.Overall, I'm gonna go through this book just to give myself a sense of order during step 2 ck prep.I would advise anyone to stay away from this book and focus on uworld. This is not worth your money.

DO NOT BUY. Not helpful for STEP 2
By far one of the most disorganized and unhelpful books I've ever encountered. Let's use examples. You can find duodenal atresia on pages 535, 537, and 540. Why not have all the information on one page? You can find information on breast cancer on pages 404, 412, 615. Why so many different places? You can find valvular heart disease (murmurs) from pages 120-129 and 525-527.You can find pancreatic cancer on pages 36 and then in more detail on page 461. Cause that makes sense right?Pancreatitis can be found on pages 25-27, 34-36, 155, 446-448, 451-456. Yall. Why so many different places? Throw it all into one chart and call it a day. Why do I have to play "where's waldo" to find the section I'm trying to review? You will spend more time flipping the pages of the book than actually studying. The index is trash. The information is sometimes incorrect.Waste of money. Waste of time.DO NOT BUY.

Absolutely terrible book.
1) Not comprehensive at all, there is more information in FA step 1...2) Poorly written. Long sentences with no information at all.3) Not well structured. The book is divided in big chapters, but inside of the chapters, there is absolutely no organization, just a succession of random facts. For example surgery : trauma, then some digestive pathology, then ortho, then back to hernias and varicocele. The index is not exhaustive at all, and makes finding anything in the book take way longer than it should. I can understand that it is hard to be comprehensive, but at least, structure the information so that the overall flow of chapter flows!4) Some errors along the way as if this was not enough...

For general topic review only
Good review book, but a little too vague for shelf exams/Step 2 and should not be used as main CK study material- 3/5 because of that. Otherwise it's well written, has great exam tips, and good in-chapter questions. I used it as pre-rotation reading to get the main gist of the material (along with OME videos). By the time CK rolled around, it wasn't of much use.

Excellent book for any medical exams
A must read for any exam. All topics excellently explained with Q/As in every chapter. Although it’s a book for USMLE, but any medical student or professional can read it and prepare for various other exams. Simple language and almost all essential topics included. Worth a buy!

Frustrating book
Gives you good baseline knowledge. But some of the tables make no sense. The questions they ask contradict statements listed just prior.I've tried a bunch of books for step 2 and they are all terrible. Save your money.

Great source of Preparatory book
Conrad Fischer is different. His way of explanation is different than others. This book is must have for Step 2 CK as well as Canadian QE 1 preparation . I find this book extremely useful. Highly recommend .

Okay book
I heard many good reviews about this book but honestly it didn't stand to my expectations. I mean it's a good book but not something that I can use thoroughly for my exam.
