Nektar

To set the record straight. This LP/CD is a compilation of Nektar's first three albums. Burn Out My Eyes is actually the last 5 tracks from "Journey To The Center Of The Eye"(1971). King Of Twight and Cryin In The Dark are from "A Tab In The Ocean"(1972). Cast Your Fate, Wings and New Day Dawning are from "Sounds Like This"(1973). The version of Do You Believe In Magic is the re-recorded single version and is far superior to the version that appears on Sounds Like This. This is a good compilation of their early years. Their next album Remember The Future was the beginning of their peak years.

Fantastic cd

This is their 8th album released in 1976. Unfortunately, it is already out of stock, but is still around... local used cd store etc. It is definitely worth getting! They are, in my personal opinion, strongly influenced by the Beatles (can seen from their cover song of Norweigian Wood), sound like Wishbone Ash and Uriah Heep. They totally rock... kick my ( ) all the time! Very good album!

this record is an cd import re-editon of the original vinyl called "sound like this" released in 1973; it's the third lp of Nektar , lessknowned but so good.the picture of this re-edition cd is not the same than the original vinyl; i prefer the original picture because it's more psychedelic !buy this record, it's a good progressive rock.

Dieses gleichnamige, 1987 auf CD erschienene Album der Psychedelic/Prog.-Rockband ist eines ihrer besten.Zwar soll es "Live" sein, jedoch hört es sich eher wie eine ganz normale Studio-Produktion an. Die Stücke sind zwar zum größten Teil auf anderen Alben erschienen, jedoch sind diese Versionen mindestens genauso interessant, wie auf ihren Studio-Alben.Wer also NEKTAR-Fan ist (wie ich), sollte bei diesem Silberling unbedingt zugreifen. Es lohnt sich.NEKTAR bürgt ja seit jeher für ganz exzellenten Psych/Prog ohne "Wenn und Aber". Diese, 1969 von fünf Briten in Hamburg (!!!) gegründete Band, hat zahlreiche absolut erstklassige Alben herausgebracht, von denen einige, getrost als musikalische Meilensteine zu bezeichnen sind.Es ist sicherlich nicht DAS Nektar-Album schlechthin, aber auf jeden Fall eines, dass sehr gute Stücke, teilweise ja völlig neu interpretiert (Live), Klasse präsentiert.Das allerschönste aber ist, dass NEKTAR bis zum heutigen Tag noch existiert und natürlich mit wechselnder Besetzung, in den vergangenen Jahren, auch hervorragende Alben herausgebracht haben. Ich erinnere nur an das sehr gute Album "Book Of Days".Also, wer diesen Silberling noch nicht in seinem CD-Regal zu stehen hat...unbedingt nachholen...es lohnt sich.
