High quality, sharp and just right.
It’s comfortable to use and razor sharp. The length of the handle is just right, not too long neither too short. The weight is also just right. Very happy with it.

The value for the money is off the Charts, compared to a Shun I would buy 4 of these.
My previous experience was with a very nice Shun blade, both arrived similarly sharp. However after getting the Shun professionally sharpened by their service and receiving a mediocre dud of a blade, I would instead buy this blade over and over again and be happy.Cut myself immediately the first time using it, having gotten used to improper downward pressure to get my recently factory sharpened Shun to cut onions instead of the nice smooth sawing action that cuts like butter, the cut on my finger was very deep, razor sharp, incredibly clean almost surgical, no pain, for a while it didn't even bleed it was so clean.. for a while. Five stars, would buy again! If you are on the fence between a "buy it for life" blade and this, I highly suggest this. The quality of the Shun wood is definitely better, but certainly not $150 better. Once I sent my Shun in for sharpening once it fails to pass the paper cutting test, while this effortlessly slides through like the paper isn't even there.

Best Knife I've Ever Owned!
I cut up lots of vegetables for soups and homemade dog food. I've been using my 20 year old chef's knife, but kept getting blisters on my index finger after cutting up bags of carrots. So I was looking for a good cleaver style knife that would be easier on my hands, yet with a sharp blade. This Nakiri knife fits my needs perfectly. I used it for the first time last week, and it cuts through hard vegetables like a champ! The handle fits my hand well, and I've said goodbye to finger blisters. This knife is both functional and beautiful, with excellent craftsmanship and a very sharp stainless steel blade. I wish it came with a sheath for storage, but the box it arrived in is adequate for me to safely put it away when not in use. The price for this Damascus stainless steel knife was excellent compared to other more expensive knives in the same category, but when I received a 20% discount coupon on top of the already reasonable price, I jumped in and picked it up. I highly recommend this knife...you won't regret it!

Decent knife for the money.
So, I don't typically purchase cheap knives but this one seemed to have everything I was looking for at a price I currently could afford. Vg10 steel isn't my preferred but it'll do, especially at a hardness of 60. The damascene steel is real, I polished the end, etched it, and verified at least 3 separate billets. The knife did not come out of the box sushi sharp. It was razor sharp, but not sushi sharp. I made sushi to test the knife and upon trying to cut the rolls the knife ended up smashing and tearing the rolls. I took the knife to my belt grinder and reprofiled the edge with a 1500 grit belt followed with a polish with the 5000 grit belt and a good strop with green compound. The knife now cuts as it should. Time will tell if this knife holds up or ends up in a garage sale, but currently I'm pleased.

Great, beautiful knife for breaking down meats and larger vegetables
Great knife so far. Wanted to try this style of knife out for awhile and am very pleased. This style of knife usally dictates a chopping style, while I am use to the more classical style of rocking through my cuts. Because of the slight curve of the end of this knife, it allows for rocking through your cuts better than other Nakiri knives. It is very sharp. I love it for breaking down meat and larger veggies. It is also beautiful on its look and design. I love the feel of it as well as the weight. Very happy with this knife. Note, this is not my primary knife. I also use a 7” santoku and high quality paring (both different brand) Between the 3 I’m set

be careful.sharp
What a knife! very solidly made and with the comfortable handle that is normal for knives. A nice substantial feel that immediately gives you confidence on the cutting board. Given that I follow a plant-based diet, cutting vegetables is a constant. This knife is unbeatable. Arguably for some tasks a usuba knife (single bevel) may be preferable. I do have one, and for thin slicing, I might prefer that one. The concept of these vegetable knives is quite comfortable and once you're used to them, you won't go back. The weight of the blade make for needing very little power - the weight of the knife alone does half the job. This is a winner.

Sharp Sharp Sharp
Decided to try this Nakiri and the matching cleaver. They're both great knives in terms of design and sharpness. The handle (hard to tell online) is a transparent black over woodgrain and looks quite nice. The "cascading waterfall" of the knives is interesting to say the least. The sharpness I can attest to first hand (literally) as I was running my thumb down the side of the knife to see how textured the design was and managed to take a pretty good sized chunk out of the pad of my right thumb (which rhymes with dumb) and didn't really feel it happen. Not something you really want to do while on blood thinners but, yeah, it's definitely sharp.

Really good knife at C$55
No question the $230 knife my ex wisely took was better. However, with the $25 coupon this was a $55 purchase and good value for money. This is a sharp knife that feels and works well. The Damascus steel claim is ridiculous and false. The layering is a fake decoration, the steal has not been folded and hammered multiple times like real Damascus steel.I would buy again under $75. Made in China.

Sharpest knife I have ever had. Cut my hand for the first time ever as well.
Sharpest knife I have ever used. Feels heavy, doesn't look like a very sharp knife, however, cut my palm when I was washing it ready to test it.Cut paper very smoothly than all other Zwilling knife I have. Will buy a santoku from them now.
