Cordoba 45 Limited European Spruce/Black and White Ebony w/Humicase

Amazing best playing Córdoba I own, sounds better than my c12. The seller must have set up prior to shipping it was perfect out if the box. Thank you guitarvault.

I have had this guitar (not purchased from Amazon) for just under 2 weeks. When I first took it out of the case the smell of the workshop was overpowering. A strong smell similar to my local exotic wood dealer. I suspect it is the inner lining of the guitar, which appears to be a light colored wood like Spanish Cedar. The guitar has laminated sides and back, with ebony laminated to this light wood. Given the weight of this guitar, which is pretty hefty, I would hate to have it be solid ebony (they do make a custom Hauser model for $4500 with solid ebony).The workmanship is overall excellent. Slight glue seepage under the interior braces, evident sanding marks on the interior heel and not perfectly sanded linings. Compared to the interior of my Chinese made Cordoba GK Studio Negra it is not as perfect. The interior of that is stunningly good while this is just similar to any Martin or Gibson I have had. The exterior finish of the 45 LTD is flawless however and that is where it counts. I don"t stare down the soundhole of my guitars a lot.The sound was initially pretty ordinary. Disappointing even. Rather dull and constrained. The bass was rather Thuddy.But this is a spruce top and they HAVE to be played in. I now have perhaps 15-20 hours of playing time on it (having to rebuild my calluses after a many year layoff). The sound has GREATLY improved. In fact, it is hard to believe that it is the same guitar.It is clean, bright, detailed and with lots of character. The bass is rather resonant and very powerful; firm rather than mellow. It is definitely not a thin sound, like my Studio.I wondered how long it would take to play in the guitar. Now I know. Not long at all. And it seems to improve every time I pick it up. I wonder what it will sound like in a year?So I have to give it 5 stars. It is the best classical guitar I have ever owned. I love it.

I work at a guitar shop in Nashville and we can't keep this guitar in stock for good reason. This is a well-made guitar with an amazing tone. May sound a bit muffled at first, but after playing for a while (or putting a ToneRite on the strings for a few days), the top will begin to open up and sound like a cannon. Basses are full and trebels are bright and response is even across the board.What puts this guitar over the top is the addition of a truss rod to make neck maintenance easier and the beautiful black and white ebony on the back and sides. Every unit that my shop has received has been completely different and all beautiful in their own way. Opening each one has been a blast to see what the bookmatch on the back looks like. Inclusion of the Humicase with purchase is another great benefit to buying this guitar.
