Purfect for home & travel
I travel with my cat and I originally ordered this for that purpose, which it's absolutely perfect for! My cat loved it so much that it became our only litter box. We've had it for years with no breaks or tears in the plastic. I will purchase this again if it does though. It's narrow for tight places but it widens when pushed against a wall. It's tall, deep, keeps litter in the box, and it cleans easily as litter doesn't stick to it. My cat is 15 lbs and she fits just fine even if it's in a tight space and more narrow. It fits on the floor of the car, carries well into hotels, and makes life so much easier just using the same box no matter where we are. I have recommended it to many friends who also love it. Unless they design a better box, this will always be my go to!

Light weight but great quality.
Great product. Great size. Makes changing litter so easy with the spouted lip and handles. Wish I got one earlier!

It fit into my tiny bathroom
I ordered this litter box because I live in a tiny NYC studio apartment and the box must live in the very tiny bathroom. The old-fashioned, hard-plastic rectangular box could not be tucked away, so I tried this one. When it arrived I was appalled -- it was in a huge box, because it was huge! No way in hell was it going to fit in the 12-inch gap between the tub and the cupboard...except, it did (see photo). And it solved the problem of my onetime outdoor rescue kitty's sitting inside the box and pooping outside it, over the edge! I think the photo on the main product page of the cat sitting in the box is probably a cut-and-paste picture, because the cat looks too big in relation to the box. Check the dimensions before you order.UPDATE: Still love it! The sides being held quite tightly together eventually cracked the "prow," but I had silver packing tape and it's not even noticeable. Not that I would care; I would be willing to buy a new one every year if it came to that...but it doesn't and it won't! The reason for this update, though, is that I never mentioned I use Feline Pine litter and it slides out of there like a fried egg out of a non-stick skillet. A really fine product.

Easy to Clean
I bought this litterbox almost 6 months ago and still really like it (I bought 2, actually). The best thing about it is that it's easy to clean. There are no corners or crevices for litter and waste to get stuck in. I scoop them daily (sometimes skipping a day here and there), and when it's time to do a complete change of litter, I put a trash bag in a small metal trash can and pick up the litterbox by the handles, then pour everything out. It never spills over onto the floor like with a rigid rectangular litterbox because the flexible plastic bends and basically makes a "spout" area to pour from.My cats used to have litterboxes with lids, and I worried that they might not like being so exposed, but I read that many cats prefer an open litterbox so they can (theoretically) see approaching predators. My cats switched to the open top litterbox no problem. Also, they used to pee against the sides of the one with the cover, and I worried that they might pee out of the sides of this one, but the back is pretty tall, and they never did "overshoot" the walls of this litterbox.I used to use the Omega Paw Roll N Clean Litter Box (2 of them), and I liked it for quite a while, but after a while, clay and waste start to get stuck in the grid and it is sooo hard to get it completely clean. You have to disassemble the whole thing and soak it in a big tub of bleach water outdoors (because who wants clay going down their bathtub drain?), then scrub the grid with an old toothbrush or something. However, with this Litter Genie litter box, you just empty all the litter out, wipe out any last bit of litter with a paper towel, then spray some bleach water, or vinegar, or whatever your preferred cleaner is, and let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe it out with a paper towel. There are no corners for anything to get stuck in. Cats scratching on the sides of the box, and the metal litter scoop I use, do make slight scratches into the plastic, but I have not found them to be a problem; they aren't really deep enough for anything to get stuck in them. For litter, I've been using Arm & Hammer Cloud Control, and it is the best I've used. There is NO DUST. For real. Every other litter I've tried that says "dust free" still has tons of dust, but not this one. It is expensive, but it's worth it. It also turns urine into super hard clumps, so it is really easy to scoop them out, and they clump up higher in the litterbox, and don't stick to the sides or bottom of the litterbox. It also smells really good--a bit like Sweet Tarts candy. It hides the smell of cat pee and poop really well. It isn't an overpowering smell that fills the room; I only notice it when I am cleaning the litterbox.
