I wrote this nice long story about how a a Florida resident learns to hunt up North, in the cold, the real cold. However it was getting a little too lengthy. So here is what I recommend. It is the best jacket I have ever hunted in. I have hunted in weather, down in the teens. This jacket will not fail you. I bought mine some years back, so I don't know what the exterior of these new ones are like. Mine is soft, quiet, and extreemly warm. If you are hunting in a treestand, walk out to your stand with the jacket unzipped. If you don't, and you had to walk any distance, you're going to be sweating like a gerbil in a Key West pet shop. Leave the jacket open till you're in your stand for about 30min. As you start to get chilly, not cold, but chilly, start zipping up. You can melt cheese in that jacket. I took a ham & cheese sandwich with me one time, and put it in the inside pocket, and the cheese actually melted. I've actually had to open the top of the jacket in 20deg. weather to vent some body heat. If you're going to hunt in real cold weather, this is the jacket. My jacket was made in Sri Lanka. Who would have thunk?
