This product works great, it brings my soft water up to the level I need.

Easy to use, but unless you know your pond capacity, go o for a lower dose first and retest after sufficient time for mixing. If you have a second pond pump (IE waterfall) switch it on

I have a 5000 gallon open-air pond with a heavy fish load - to reduce costs I collect rainwater in preference to using mains water to replace evaporation and filter-cleaning losses, which means that the pond tends to acidify, particularly during the spring and early summer. I have used Pond Buffer Up for several seasons - it is not cheap (what is these days?) but after a simple chemical test I can easily calculate exactly how much is needed to bring the KH hardness figure back to its optimum. It takes an hour or two watering the pond with a watering-can (so that the treatment is evenly distributed and doesn't disturb the fish before it hits the filtration) but it's an activity that is well worthwhile.

Bought this to raise the pH of my koi pond water after a lot of rainfall which has a pH of 5.5. It's easy to add, just weigh out the required amount & stir in to a bucket of pond water & spread the water over the pond surface. My pond water was 5.5 now after adding the buffer in stages it's 7.5 & stable, happy koi !!!

Have yet to use all the product but have so far increased the KH in my pond by 2DH. Am gradually introducing it rather than risk stressing the fish with a sudden change. So far so good. Am seeking to increase it a further 2DH (to 6DH) in the next few days.
