the toy use triple AAA batteries there are not included Its about 4 or 6 batteries I'm guessing in my experience whit toys but not more than 8 thank You. Great Day!!

Yes, but your kids really need have a good imagination. The patties are hard plastic with one configuration - a patty. To be frank, my kid was bored with this toy 1/2 hour after he received it.

Q: Does it need batteries

Mine has the batteries it came from production with, however, they may not have full life left after being in the store.

Great birthday gift for my oldest kid

Well, this has to be one of the best purchases for my oldest child that I have ever gotten him... so far. He absolutely loves to pretend to cook and loves SpongeBob so when I saw this I just had to get it. It ended up being at least twice as big as I thought it was going to be which was awesome. I don't actually know why I thought it was going to be so small. Perhaps because for $25 I'm used to buying licensed products that are super small. This one, however, was a great price for the toy (in my opinon)! The ONLY downside is that I keep getting the dang song stuck in my head for the next several hours.I ordered it for a birthday present and luckily was able to get it the day of his birthday. The packaging was so horrible to get everything out that I thought for sure something was going to be broken by the time we got it all out. Thankfully that didn't happen! I'm very used to the kids playing with something for a short time then moving on to something else, but they have gone back to this toy many times. The only thing that is missing is the customers! I can only pretend eat so many Krabby Patties!

great toy

My son loves this!!! I only gave it 4 stars because I saw it much cheaper at a toy store after it was already used! The sign is made of cardboard and didn't survive long with a 3 year old, but he still plays with the rest.

Looks A LOT more fun in the picture. It's a stupid toy. Waste of money. Kids don't even touch it. Very small pieces.

It talks and my grandson has so much fun making crabby patties with SpongeBob

My grandson just loves this toy. I am now going to buy one for my other grandson. It talks and my grandson has so much fun making crabby patties with SpongeBob. This is one toy they just will not let down. He has hours of fun with it and it is just so cute. If your kids love SpongeBob you will have to be sure to put this on their Christmas list even if they don't. It's a winner.

More than I expected.

I purchased this for our 4 year old for Christmas as add on gift just because it was Spongebob related. I was surprised how sturdy it was and the size of it when we got it. I got it on a deal and paid under $12 for it. Well worth it at that price because our son is a Spongebob freak. I would still buy it for the current price of $22.66, I just got an exceptional deal at the time. He spent hours playing with it pretending he was Spongebob and making krabby patties for everyone. He's moved on to his Wii games now but occasionally pulls it out to play with it.

Your little one will love it if they like Spongebob

My son was thrilled when he saw this and actually screeched! He's always loved SpongeBob but I think now that the movie comes out tomorrow, it's renewed his excitement. I have to say I am pretty shocked at some of the poor reviews. You just CAN'T beat such a huge toy for the price it is right now! It would make a nice gift and to me it looks like it should be $50 atleast. I'd grab them up before someone raises the price!
