Great Gauge, easy to read from a distance.

This is my second rain gauge in 8 years from this manufacturer. First one lasted 8 years without a problem in a cold Illinois winter zone 6b. I forgot to bring inside during freezing temps a couple of times and it was fine. Same construction with yellow background. So so easy to read from my kitchen window. This was a great purchase, TY

Do the job

Gotta love simple and easy. Mounted on a post (we used two screws, not included). Bigger than expected, but that's a good thing. The yellow background and large markings makes it easy to read, even from a vehicle. The post is close to the driveway. No problem removing the meter from the post just lift off and dump (leave the screws sticking out enough). Sturdy.

Very easy to read with the yellow background and black numbers

I had one for about ten years and the Sun finally discolored the clear plastic part so it was hard to read. I like this type rain gauge so much that I ordered two of them since I couldn't find any of them locally. Who knows when Taylor will stop making them, hence the spare.

My only gripe is the incremental markings. There are 10 marks in an inch (according to this gauge)Much better if they had done it in 16ths ( which is the correct way)1/8th, 3/8th, 1/4, 2/2inch ,etc..It's not on here.
